BJFL U/18 Girls football football wrap up and preview of next round

KANGAROO Flat starred under the Dower Park lights to win its latest match in the Bendigo Junior Football League’s under-18 girls competition.

The Roos continued their hot form at home as they scored a 6.10 (46) to 0.0 (0) victory against South Bendigo.

Eloise Gretgrix and Jemma Finning led the attack on two goals apiece as Tayla Matotek and Grace Beckmans were also on target.

Best for Kangaroo Flat were Natalie Watson, Ella Wicks, Rachael Stubbings, and Jemma Finning.

South Bendigo’s best were Tia Davidge, Kate Douglass and Reese McHeyzer-Bacchin.

Unbeaten after seven rounds, Kangaroo Flat takes on Eaglehawk this Sunday at California Gully from 11.20am.

Other matches in the eighth round on Sunday are Kyneton at home to Sandhurst, Strathfieldsaye takes on South Bendigo, and Woorinen plays Golden Square in the clash of third against fourth at Tigerland.
