Fifth place on Loddon Valley netball ladder far from settled

PYRAMID Hill faces a strong challenge from Maiden Gully YCW to claim fifth spot on the A-grade netball ladder in the next five rounds of the Loddon Valley Football Netball League season.

The Bulldogs and the Eagles are locked on 24 points and separated by just three per cent.

In Saturday’s 13th round, Pyramid Hill was beaten, 51-44, by the ladder-leading Mitiamo.

Bridgewater showed it’s a force to be reckoned with in a 53-44 win at home against Calivil United.

Newbridge scored a 22-goal win on Marong’s court at Malone Park.

Maiden Gully YCW Eagles won on forfeit from Inglewood.

In next Saturday’s matches, Newbridge faces Mitiamo at Riverside Park, and Bears Lagoon Serpentine hosts Marong.

Maiden Gully faces a big test at home against Bridgewater.

Pyramid Hill’s A-grade team has a rest as its drawn to play Inglewood.

Calivil United has the bye.
