Goalers on target in clashes across valley

PLENTY of goals were scored in all three A-grade netball matches played in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley Football Netball League on Easter Saturday.

Almost 100 goals were achieved as Bridgewater marked a 68-30 victory in the round three clash on Inglewood’s court.

The reigning premiers were far too strong for a Blues line-up that has made a return to the top level this season.

Calivil United was too strong for Bears Lagoon Serpentine at Calivil.

The Demons won 55-29.

Just nine goals separated Newbridge and Mitiamo when the final whistle blew at Riverside Park in Newbridge.

The Mitiamo Superoos won a great contest, 53-44.

The round began on Good Friday when Maiden Gully YCW Eagles took on Marong at Marist College Oval in Maiden Gully.

A high-scoring match ended in a 61-50 victory for the Eagles.

Pyramid Hill had the bye.

Round four will be played this Saturday.

A-grade games start at 3pm.

Bridgewater hosts Calivil United at Laser Plumbing Bendigo Oval in Bridgewater.

Marong takes on Pyramid Hill at Discover Marong Park in Malone Park.

The in-form Mitiamo has home-court advantage at John Forbes Oval against Bears Lagoon Serpentine.

Newbridge is at home to play Inglewood at Bendigo Locksmith Riverside Park.

Maiden Gully YCW Eagles have the bye.
