Jamie Macri appointed to the Football Development Manager role

The AFL Central Victoria Commission is delighted to announce that AFL Victoria has appointed Jamie Macri to join Shane Koop as the second Football Development Manager for our region.

Jamie brings a wealth of talent and sporting knowledge to the role having been the only Football Development Manager in the Central Murray Commission for the last 5 years.  He has coordinated Auskick Centres, conducted school programs and holiday programs, convened AFL player visits, conducted coaching courses and seminars, provided extensive club development, conducted multicultural and indigenous programs, developed female football and managed academy and VLine Cup programs.   

Prior to becoming a Football Development Manager, Jamie worked at Kerang Technical High School as the Welfare Coordinator. 

He was the Junior Development Officer for the Central Murry Football League for 12 years and has extensive experience as a senior coach.  Jamie also volunteers for the SES as a Unit controller.

AFL Central Victoria Regional General Manager, Carol Cathcart said Jamie is a terrific addition to our team and he will play an important role in the implementation of our strategic plan for football within the region. 

Jamie will commence in the New Year.
