GOLDFIELDS rivalry is renewed this Saturday when the Bendigo Junior Football League faces the Ballarat Junior Football League in their annual challenge at Strathfieldsaye.
Bendigo will be aiming to regain the Latrobe University Goldfields Trophy on home turf.
No matter what sport is played, Bendigo and Ballarat always play with plenty of spirit.
Seven matches will be played this Saturday at the Tannery Lane complex.
Action kicks of at 10am when the under-12s clash on Enterprise Oval.
First of the contests on the Main Oval will be at 10.10am when the under-14s do battle.
Other matches on the big ground will be under-15s at 12.10pm and the under-16s at 2.10pm.
Timetable for Enterprise Oval is under-13s at 11.30am, under-16 girls at 1pm, and the under-18 girls at 2.30pm.
There is plenty of experience in the Bendigo Junior Football League’s coaching panel.
As coach of the under-15s, Clint Whitsed marks a return to a ground he knows well.
Whitsed was the inaugural senior coach of Strathfieldsaye Storm in the Bendigo Football Netball League.
Coaches of Bendigo’s other teams to tackle Ballarat are Brendan Blandford, under-12; Steve Travaglia, under-13; Cam Carter, under-14; Damien Featherby, under-16; Kal Geary, under-18 girls and Molly Metcalf in charge of the under-16 girls.
