Demons fire up for clash with Brigewater

THE ladder-leading Calivil United faces a big test in this Saturday’s 13th round in the Loddon Valley Football Netball League’s A-grade netball competition.

Calivil will be on its home court against the third-placed Bridgewater in the league’s match of the day.

When these clubs last met in round four, Bridgewater scored a 55-49 victory.

Both teams had a break last weekend as Calivil United was drawn to play Inglewood, and Bridgewater had the bye.

Another big match will be at Mitiamo where the Superoos take on Pyramid Hill.

The Superoos overcame a spirited challenge from the Eagles to win last week’s clash at Maiden Gully by two goals.

Pyramid Hill scored a 19-goal victory in last week’s match against Marong.

In round four, Mitiamo won on Pyramid Hill’s court by 27 goals.

Marong hosts Newbridge at Malone Park.

The previous contest between the Panthers and Maroons ended in a five goal win for Newbridge.

Maiden Gully YCW Eagles have a rest in A-grade, but will play in other grades against Inglewood.

Bears Lagoon Serpentine has the bye.
