Balloon Football League

Scope’s Balloon Football League is a version of AFL that has been modified to suit the needs of people with severe disability.

The game is played five a side on a basketball court, using wheelchairs, a large balloon and Auskick goal posts. Scope BFL was invented 20 years ago by three gentlemen with a disability and it now played by over 200 people across Victoria.

The Bendigo Balloon Football League runs on Friday’s during the football season, at the Eaglehawk YMCA. Currently, there are 8 teams that compete in the BBFL, including several disability providers and community groups.
