AFL Central Victoria is excited to announce two new starters to begin 2023 as we look towards the new Football and Netball Season.
Michael Hartley joins us as League Manager for the CVFL Under 18 Competition. Michael played 49 AFL games with Essendon and Hawthorn and 86 VFL games
with Collingwood, Essendon, Box Hill and Coburg. He has level 2 AFL coaching accreditation, and was a development coach with Collingwood Football Club’s VFLM and AFLW teams. Michael has certificates in sports development, player development management, and fitness. He also spent 6 years as a volunteer with The Academy which is operated by the Essendon FC. Michael is incredibly well credentialed to take on this important position.
Tom King joins us as Commercial, Media & Operations Manager. Tom moves to AFL Central Vic from the Western Bulldogs Football Club where he held the position of Fundraising & Philanthropy Coordinator. In this role Tom was responsible for revenue generation and community connection for the Western Bulldogs Football Club, Western Bulldogs Forever Foundation and Western Bulldogs Community Foundation. Tom is a very keen golfer and for the past 2+ years was a Board member of the Rosanna Golf Club and was previously a member of the Neangar Park Golf Club. Tom played junior community and school football in South Australia.
