LED by the brilliance of Sarah and Katie Hepburn in attack, Lake Boga stormed to a 14-goal win at Cohuna in Saturday’s third round of A-grade netball in the Central Murray FNL season.
The Magpies led 31-24 at half-time of the match on the Kangas’ court at Cohuna.
By three quarter-time, Lake Boga’s lead had been cut to just four.
In the last the Magpies lifted to mark a 64-50 victory as Sarah Hepburn finished with a match-high 44 goals and Katie Hepburn added 20.
Cohuna’s goalers were Kobie McIvor, 27; and Carmen Dye, 23.
The Woorinen Tigers won a closely-fought match on Balranald’s court at Greenham Park.
Woorinen led 23-17 at half-time, but the Roos fought back to be within at a quarter to go.
The Tigers steadied to win the last, 13-8, and the match, 45-37.
Tayla Bennett scored 38 goals for Woorinen as Emily Siely chipped in with seven.
Goalers for the Kangaroos were Bev Harvey, 14; Jess Parry, 13; and Ella Mirtschin, 10.
The Eagles took on the Swans as Mallee played Swan Hill at Lalbert.
Swan Hill led 29-19 at half-time and 42-27 at a quarter to go.
Although Mallee made a great fightback in the last, Swan Hill took the points in a 52-39 result.
Zoe Morris scored 33 goals for the Swans as Ingrid Conely added 19.
Mallee’s goalers were Megan Thorneycroft, 23; and Julia Amezdroz, 16.
Tyntynder marked a 41-36 win at home against Koondrook Barham.
Kimberley Calver led the Bulldogs attack on 17 goals and had great support from Kelsey Rowe, 15, and Bridget Dedini, 9.
Emily Fasham hit a game-high 28 goals for the Kangaroos as Shanae O’Donoghue scored eight goals.
The Blues from Kerang won a closely-fought contest with Nyah Nyah West United at Nyah.
Courtney Robertson was in hot form as she scored 34 goals for Kerang.
Keiarah Brooks, seven, and Emma Wright, two, were also on target in 43-37 victory.
The NNWU Demons’ attack was led by gun high jumper Denise Snyder, 27 goals, as Stephanie Henson added 10.
Tooleybuc Manangatang had the bye.

Lake Boga is in the Magpies’ nest at Lake Boga Sports Club to play Tyntynder.
