THE St Therese’s Sharks played well in week 13 of the IGA-backed Bendigo Junior Football League season.
In 2023, St Therese’s is represented in the under-12 A, B and C competitions.
On Saturday the Sharks scored a 50-point win against Strathfieldsaye in the under-12B match at Triple M Park in Strathfieldsaye’s Tannery Lane.
Storm led 6-4 at quarter-time, but St Therese’s fired up to score 3.3 to nil in the second term.
The Sharks added another five goals in the second half for an 8.16 (64) to 2.2 (14) victory.
Xavier Mulqueen kicked three goals for the Sharks as Beau Rosa added two.
Best for St Therese’s were Jack Holland, Beau Rosa, Levi Bell, Eden Rooke, Nathaniel Thompson and Cruz Wilson.
St Therese’s marked a 16-point win in the under-12C match against Huntly Brown at Huntly’s Strauch Reserve.
The Sharks led 8-2 at quarter-time and 26-9 by the long break.
Huntly hit back to win the second half, 6-5, but it was St Therese’s which took the premiership points in a 31-15 result.
River Kent led the Sharks’ attack on two goals.
Best for St Therese’s were Harry Rees, Elsie Gretgrix, Samuel Gee, James Lenaghan, Roman McCaroll and Patrick Sherwood.
In the under-12A competition, St Therese’s played Golden Square at Ewing Park.
The Sharks could not halt the Bulldogs’ run through midfield and into attack as Golden Square scored 9.15 (69) to 1.1 (7).
Best for St Therese’s were Louis Travaglia, Palahewage Minuka Silva, Jake Hogan, Thomas Hembrow, Fletcher Stevenson and Connor Iredell.
