AFL Victoria has released the Community Football Return to Play Protocols following the recent Victorian Government announcements regarding the lifting of some COVID-19 restrictions. The Return to Play Checklist may assist clubs prepare for the next stage.
From last Monday, 22 June:
- People under the age of 18 were able to resume full contact training and competition
- Adults 18 years and over could participate in non-contact training in groups of up to 20
From mid-July – subject to the advice of Victoria’s Chief Health Officer and the continued management of the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), adults can resume full-contact training from 13 July and full-contact competition from 20 July.
Participants should not return to football if, in the last 14 days, they have been unwell or have had close contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19. We encourage everyone to maintain physical distancing and keep up good personal health and hygiene practices.
