THE top three on the A-grade netball ladder all scored big wins in Saturday’s round 11 action in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley FNL season.
Pyramid Hill was too strong for Marong in the clash of the Bulldogs and Panthers at Pyramid Hill’s Mitchell Park.
The team in red, white and blue netted a 70-45 victory in a duel between second and fifth on the ladder.
A Pyramid Hill team coached by Chelsea Emmerson, Simone Edgley and Laura Herbert will now prepare for a huge test at Mitiamo’s John Forbes Oval next Saturday.
It’s the rematch of the ’24 grand finalists from 3pm on the Superoos’ court.
The Bridget Willox-coached Marong will aim to rebound from defeat when it takes on Calivil United in the Panthers’ den at Jackal Oval in Marong’s Malone Park.
Mitiamo passed the 80-goal mark in Saturday’s match on Calivil United’s court at Calivil Recreation Reserve.
The Superoos won a high-scoring match, 82-54, against the Cindy Portwine-coached Calivil United.
Mitiamo is being coached by Abbey Battersby and Jess Kaur in its pursuit of back-to-back premierships.
It was a ruthless performance by Bridgewater at home against the Maiden Gully YCW Eagles.
The Mean Machine poured in 83 goals as strong defence held the Eagles to a tally of 35.
The Caz Wood and Olivia Hoiles-coached Bridgewater will be back home to play Inglewood next round.
An Eagles’ team coached by Leisa Barry will make its way to Deepcore Drilling Oval in Newbridge’s Riverside Park to take on Newbridge which had the bye on Saturday.
Selina Holland and Kristy Gandy have teamed up to coach Newbridge this season.
Bears-Lagoon Serpentine returned to the winner’s list as the purple and gold won 61-35 on Inglewood’s court at Centre State Scaffolding Oval.
The Danielle O’Toole and Lara Clements-coached Bears have a win-loss tally of four-six and are keeping the heat on Marong in the race for a finals berth.
It’s a bye for BLS next Saturday.
The Caitlyn Cartwright-coached Inglewood will make its way to Bridgewater.
