Tigers claw way to win on Mallee’s court
WOORINEN Tigers clawed their way to a six-goal victory against Mallee Eagles in Saturday’s 11th round of A-grade netball in the Central Murray FNL season.
A 30-24 result meant Woorinen moved within a win clear of the fourth-placed Eagles.
It was an upset result at Nyah as Nyah Nyah West United marked a 38-31 victory against Tyntynder.
The Demons started the day six points behind the Bulldogs, but by the final siren was within two points of the red, white and blue.
Swan Hill surpassed the 80-goal mark against Koondrook Barham.
Second in the premiership race, Swan Hill won 82-19 against the River Raiders at Swan Hill Recreation Reserve.
Cohuna Kangas were at home against Balranald for the clash of the Roos.
At the final siren Balranald led 52-41.
Kerang was under pressure from the ladder-leading Lake Boga at Kerang’s Riverside Park.
The Magpies soared to a 48-23 win against the Blues.
Tooleybuc Manangatang had the bye.
