THE Winslow Constructors White Hills Demons can flip ladder positions with North Bendigo when they meet in Friday night’s Champions IGA-backed CVFL senior women’s footy match.
The Demons and Bulldogs are separated by a win and one per cent in the league standings.
White Hills has home-ground advantage at Scott Street when the clash with the Bulldogs starts at 7pm.
Both teams had the bye last round.
When they met in round four North Bendigo won the Anzac Day weekend match by 16 points at Bendigo Club Oval in Atkins Street.
The Phil Murley-coached White Hills will be keen to mark its second win of the season.
The Demons’ squad includes Sharni Barker, Acacia and Chelsea Edwards, Amelie Haigh, Matilda Meersbergen and Oakley Turner.
A third victory would cap what’s been a vastly improved season for the Jaydene Burzacott and Zak Carter-coached North Bendigo.
In the previous two seasons the win-loss-draw tally for the red, white and blue was 1-14-1 and 2-10.
North Bendigo’s squad includes Roweena Ilsley, Maddie Jelbart, Kira Gibbons, Cassandra Coughlan, Aisha Mansfield and Heidi Schneider.
The senior women’s league’s only other match this round is another Friday night clash featuring Eaglehawk and Marong from 7.15pm at Eaglehawk’s Canterbury Park.
The Hawks won the previous meeting with the Panthers in round five at Canterbury Park by 59 points.
Another victory for the Hawks will put them in second place and holding the double chance at finals time.
The Hawks won last Friday night’s match on their turf against Golden Square by four points.
Best for the Two Blues were Grace Edlin, Lucy El Hage, Shelby Faulkner and coach Molly Metcalf.
Eaglehawk’s line-up for this round includes Caitlin Evans as rover, Emily Galtieri and Lexie Moss in defence, and Kelly Mensforth and Melanie Krause in attack.
Marong scored a 77-point win against Bendigo Thunder in last Sunday’s match at Bendigo’s Weeroona Oval.
Lauren Knight and Jaime Sawers led the Panthers’ attack on three goals each.
Best for Marong were Nell Hamilton, Jessica Jackson, Avril Lee and Katrina Alford.
The Panthers have Nikeah Anderson and Regeena Torney in attack, Hayley Martinello in the centre, and co-captains Bianca Bourke and Hannah Cue teaming in defence with Caitlin Shaw.
The Marong team is jointly coached by Jimmy Evenden and Daniel Bourke.
Bendigo Thunder, Castlemaine, Golden Square, and Sandhurst all have the bye in round 11.
