Eagles soar to end Tyntynder’s season

THE Mallee Eagles soared to a 16-goal victory to end Tyntynder’s season in the Central Murray FNL’s A-grade netball elimination final on Sunday.

The Mallee line-up teamed brilliantly at Balranald’s Greenham Park to score a 52-36 victory.

Next-up for the Eagles will be Sunday’s first semi-final against Balranald in Cohuna.

The Kangaroos will be on the rebound from an eight-goal loss to Swan Hill in Saturday’s qualifying final at Lake Boga.

A 40-32 victory for the Swans set up a second semi-final showdown with Lake Boga in Woorinen.

There were some closely-fought matches across elimination final day.

Woorinen won the A-reserve clash with Cohuna Kangas by five goals.

It was a seven-goal margin as Cohuna Kangas defeated Nyah Nyah West United in B-grade.

Balranald netted a 33-30 victory in the B-reserve match against Lake Boga.
