GUN forward Ben Edwards has reached 100 goals in a season as Birchip-Watchem dominated Saturday’s clash with St Arnaud in Goldacres North Central senior footy.
Forwards were in hot form across the 14th round.
A 15-goal haul by Edwards in the Bulls’ victory on St Arnaud’s turf at Lord Nelson Park lifted his season tally to 105.
The unbeaten Bulls charged to a 71-6 lead by quarter-time and then added six, eight and eight goals in the next three terms.
By the final siren Birchip-Watchem led 209-26.
Edwards capped a best-on-ground performance with 15 goals as Tom Gibson added seven.
Other multiple goalkickers for the Bulls were Rhona Conboy, three; Riley Hogan Jnr, Hamish Hosking and Nicholas Rippon, two.
Leading goalkicker for the Saint was Lucas Bridger on two.
Best for the Ash Connick-coached Bulls were Ben Edwards, Tom Gibson, Nicholas Rippon, Dale Hinkley, Daniel Bell and Harry Cook.
Bailey Durward, Simon Elliott, Jay Kirwood, Thomas Bertalli, Sam Male and Lucas Bridger were best for the Scott Driscoll-coached Saints.
Wedderburn beat Boort in the clash of fifth and fourth at Boort Park.
The Tom Metherell-coached Wedderburn moved within a win of the Magpies at two rounds to play.
The Redbacks led 23-19 at quarter-time and then scored 2.6 as the Magpies added a point in the second.
A 16-point lead for Wedderburn going into the last was seven goals by the final siren after the red and black scored five goals.
Jye Mortlock kicked six goals to earn best afield honours in a 95-53 victory.
The Redbacks had Mitch Jensen and Mitch McEwen chip in with two goals.
Boort’s attack was led by James Keeble and Kayne Rutley on two.
Best for Wedderburn were Jye Mortlock, Noah Furlong, Jackson McEwen, Zach Pallpratt, Hamish Lockhart and Isaac Holt.
Jack Smith, Kayne Rutley, Carlos Egan, James Keeble, Max Beattie and Jhye Baddeley-Kelly played well for the Dale Cameron-coached Magpies.
The Mount Of Prevention ‘Respect’ Cup was up for grabs as Charlton took on Calder United Lions at Charlton Park.
A tally of 41 scoring shots as the opposition racked up 10 was a sign of the Lions’ dominance.
Calder United motored to a 39-13 lead by quarter-time and then won the second term, 34-2.
The Lions added six and five goals in the next two quarters to complete a 146-30 victory.
Jack Exell led United’s attack on seven goals as co-coach Jordan Humphreys, Zane Keighran, Rylee Smith, George Turner and Daniel Watts added two each.
Charlton had four goalkickers.
Best for Calder United were Steven Kennedy, Jack Exell, George Turner, Koby Hommelhoff, Tiger Vearing and Zane Keighran.
The Lions have multiple premiership-winning coach Darryl Wilson as non-playing co-coach.

The Tigers raced to a 45-nil lead by quarter-time and was up 87-2 at the long break.
As the Bryce Delmenico and Billy McInnes-coached Tigers added 19 goals in the second half they kept Donald scoreless.
The attack was led by Cahoon, 13; Lachy McClelland, five; John Summerhayes, three; Bryce Delmenico, Jarvis Keogh, Cruz O’Sullivan and Jai Wright, two, as the Tigers marked a 205-2 victory.
Best for Sea Lake Nandaly were Max Cahoon, Cruz O’Sullivan, Bryce Delmenico, Wade Donnan, Jack Poulton and Charlie Cox.
Donald coach Daniel Pearce was best along with Charlie Campbell, Dyson Bell-Warren, Jett Adams, Harry Forrest and Ben Arho.
