ELMORE broke Mount Pleasant’s unbeaten run in Saturday’s fourth round of A-grade netball in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL season.
Stung by consecutive losses to White Hills and Huntly, Elmore hit back for a 17-goal victory on its court against the Blues.
The Anthea McCleary-coached Mount Pleasant had made a great start to the season as a hat-trick of wins was by margins of 37, 30 and 30 goals.
On Saturday it was the Annie Hockey-coached Elmore which dominated most of the contest.
By the final siren the Bloods led 49-32.
The Harlowe Huntly Hawks won a hard-fought match on North Bendigo’s court at Bendigo Club Oval in Atkins Street by four goals.
A 41-37 victory by the Ashlea Sherlock and Kym Bell-coached Hawks meant they soared to the top of the ladder.
Was a great effort by the Kiralee Kinder following an upset win at White Hills the previous round.
This time the red, white and blue could not halt Huntly’s charge to a fourth consecutive victory.
Heathcote netted its first A-grade win of the season against Lockington Bamawm United at Lockington’s Nichol Trading Oval.
The Chloe Meulenmeesters-coached Heathcote controlled a lot of the play to beat the Cats, 44-32.
The Kerryn Giorgianni and Shelby Stone-coached LBU is still chasing its first win of the season.
Leitchville Gunbower was home at Leitchville to face an in-form Colbinabbin.
The young LG Bombers’ team coached by Grant Matthews battled to halt the Grasshoppers’ slick movement from mid-court to attack.
It was another emphatic win by the Jen McIntyre-coached Colbinabbin as the green and gold led 96-36 after the final pass of the match.
White Hills had the bye.
It’s a rematch of the ’24 grand finalists when Colbinabbin faces Elmore on the Grasshoppers’ court at M.J. Morgan Oval in next Saturday’s fifth round.
Mount Pleasant and North Bendigo will clash at Toolleen.
The Harlowe Huntly Hawks will be on their court at Strauch Reserve against White Hills.
Heathcote and Leitchville Gunbower will fight for the four points at Pigeon Park in Heathcote’s Barrack Reserve.
Lockington Bamawm United has the bye.
