THE ladder-leading Elmore marked its eighth consecutive victory this A-grade netball season in Saturday’s eighth round of Bendigo Bank Heathcote District Football Netball League action.
Elmore made the trek to North Bendigo’s Hibo Hotel Oval in Atkins Street.
The home team was determined to keep the pressure on the unbeaten Bloods, but Elmore was too strong.
At the final whistle it was the Bloods who led 69-42.
White Hills bounced back from a big defeat the previous round to score a 44-goal win at home.
The Demons took on Lockington Bamawm United at Tint A Car Oval in White Hills.
The Lauren Bowles-coached White Hills won 67-23.
Closest match of the round was at Degroot Roof Painting Oval in Leitchville.
Chasing consecutive wins, Leitchville Gunbower worked extremely hard against Huntly.
The Hawks withstood a strong challenge to take the points, 44-35 on the Bombers’ court.
Mount Pleasant was too strong for Heathcote at Pigeon Park in Barrack Reserve.
A 69-34 victory for the Blues ensured they kept the heat on the fifth-placed North Bendigo.
Colbinabbin had the bye.

Lockington Bamawm United takes on North Bendigo at Lockington’s Nichol Trading Oval.
Mount Pleasant and Colbinabbin meet in the battle of the Blues and Grasshoppers at Toolleen.
