STRATHFIELDSAYE marked a 10-goal win against South Bendigo in the latest round of under-16 seniors matches in the Bendigo Junior Football League season.

Storm took on the Bloods at Triple M Park in Strathfieldsaye’s Tannery Lane.

The Storm led 26-1 by quarter-time of the round nine showdown.

As Strathfieldsaye scored nine goals across the next three quarters it’s strong defence kept the Bloods to a tally of 19 points.

Ben Jorgensen led Storm’s attack on three goals as Will Brandt booted two in the 83-20 victory.

Other goalkickers for Strathfieldsaye were Aydan Hand, Jordan Mathews, Max Morrison, Sam O’Bree, Lucas Sharam, Jesse Webster, Angus White and Spencer Worthington.

Storm’s best were Max Morrison, Benjamin Jorgensen, Will Brandt, Keelan McInerney, Jordan Mathews and Lucas Sharam.

Strathfieldsaye won every quarter on its way to a 54-19 victory against Sandhurst in the under-14 seniors match at Triple M Park in Strathfieldsaye’s Tannery Lane.

Storm led 10-1 at quarter-time and 30-10 by the main break.

Strathfieldsaye outscored the Dragons in the next two quarters, 11-nil and 13-9.

Tadhg O’Keefe booted two goals for Storm as Lenny Hancock, Tommy Harrop, Jake Ingram, Jed Mannix and Hudson Svanosio added one each.

It was a 20-point margin for Strathfieldsaye against Eaglehawk in the under-16 reserves, division one match at Triple M Park.

Strathfieldsaye made a flying start and led 25-1 by quarter-time.

From there the Two Blues outscored the home team, 25-21, but it was Strathfieldsaye which marked a 46-26 victory.

Goalkickers for Strathfieldsaye were Kobi Read on three; Tait Gardiner on two, Luke Hayes, and Nicholas Hietbrink.

Storm’s best were Tyson Shertwell, Dominic Gormly, Nate Fitzpatrick, Ned Browell, Kaleb Hodgskiss and Kobi Read.

Strathfieldsaye was in great form in the under-15 Girls reserves match against Marong B at Triple M Park in Strathfieldsaye’s Tannery Lane.

Storm surged to a 26-nil lead by quarter-time and then scored 15, nine and three points across the next three terms.

Bonnie Bortolotto and Maggie Millar kicked two goals as Olivia Flood, Emmalene and Greta Pollock were on target in a 53-nil victory.

Strathfieldsaye’s best were Greta Pollock, Cammie Fitzgerald, Bonnie Bortolotto, Maggie Millar, Scarlett Woodmore and Emmalene Pollock.

The under-15 Girls seniors match between Sandhurst and Strathfieldsaye was played at Bendigo’s Ewing Park.

Sandhurst charged to a 21-2 lead by half-time.

Storm fought back to score 3.1 in the third and was within 16 points going into the final quarter.

The maroon and blue answered the challenge to win the last quarter, 10-nil, and the match, 47-21.

Goalkickers for Strathfieldsaye were Harper Gordon, Kirra Molloy and Marlie Skinner.

Storm’s best were Ava Hope, Akiva Morrissey, Kirra Molloy, Molly Doherty, Harper Gordon and Marlie Skinner.

Storm fought on for a 13-point win against North Bendigo in the under-14 reserves, division two match.

Storm and the Bulldogs played out a great match at Bendigo Club Oval in North Bendigo’s Atkins Street.

The Bulldogs led 10-9 at quarter-time, but Storm hit back to win the second, 20-12.

North Bendigo was within five points going into the final quarter.

Storm scored three goals in the last to complete a 61-48 victory.

Declan Moroney-Cook and Ruben Speers led Storm’s attack on two goals as Liam Byrne, Cruze Cowan and Lawson Sharples were also on target.

Best for Strathfieldsaye were Cruze Cowan, Declan Moroney-Cook, Lawson Sharples, Nathaniel Hodgskiss, Jimi Bortolotto and Jordan Sherwell.

Storm won a closely-fought match with Quarry Hill in the under-12B division on Enterprise Oval in Strathfieldsaye’s Tannery Lane.

The Storm line-up led 9-6 at half-time and then doubled its score in the third quarter to lead 18-13 going into the last.

At the final siren Strathfieldsaye led 24-19.

Goalkickers for Storm were Cruz Matthews, Hudson Steele and Patrick Wood.

Storm’s best were Matthew Gaskell, Landon Nankervis, Willis Mannix, Hudson Steele and Lincoln Docherty.

In the under-12D competition, Strathfieldsaye played South Bendigo at Enterprise Oval.

The young Bloods won 70-11.

Jordan Bell kicked a goal and was among Storm’s best with William Hearps, Nash Jacobs and Lucas Orr.

Strathfieldsaye was outplayed by Castlemaine in the under-14 reserves, division one match on Enterprise Oval.

The young Magpies soared to a 131-16 victory.

Matthew Jennings and Brady McDermott were on target for Storm in the second quarter.

Strathfieldsaye’s best were Riley Turner, Nate Malone, Gus Ritchie, Sam Elkington, Jackson Brain and Nash Kipping.
