THE Ultima Kangaroos bounded clear of Macorna in the second half to win Saturday’s senior footy clash in the 13th round of the Golden Rivers FNL season.
Macorna played excellent football in the first half on home turf to lead the ladder leaders, 34-31 at half-time.
The Kangaroos then lifted their play in the third term to score 5.4 to just two behinds.
At the final siren, Ultima led 10.16 (76) to 8.7 (55).
Goalkicking details for both teams were not supplied.
Ultima’s best were Kyle Symons, Tyler Makepeace, Caillum Brady, Mitch Makepeace, Will Nelson and Luke Doolan.
Jack Featherby, Michael Roberts, Jacob McIntosh, Hunter Anset, Fergus Bear and Alex Inglewood were Macorna’s best.
Moulamein turned a 10-point deficit at quarter-time at Hay into a seven-point by half-time.
The Swans then dominated the third term to score 5.4 to 1.2.
Andy Silva went on to kick three goals as Josh Flight and Khy Stovell added two in an 80-51 victory for Moulamein.
Hay’s attack was led by Kenneth Jubb and Liam Whitbourne on two each.
Best for the Swans were Heath Moloney, Blake Azzopardi, Amos Farrell, Beau Duggan-Hulands, Will Gibson and Luke Shannon.
Brad Pocock, Luke Arandt, Daniel Gash, Fergus Cattanach, Dom Booth and Andrew Low were best for the Lions.
Wandella fought for a one-goal win at home against Murrabit.
The Bombers led 48-43 at half-time before the Blues scored 5.4 to 3.2 in the third quarter.
Led by the play of Adam Ward, Russell Rich and Archer Lancaster, Wandella added 4.5 to 2.3 in the last to seal a 97-91 victory.
The Bombers’ attack was led by Logan Keighran, Darren Rushton and Adam Ward on two goals each.
Damian Cupido kicked five goals for Murrabit as Cooper Williams booted three and Dustin Blake and Morgan Randall added two.
Wandella’s best included Tim Robinson, Jarred Schlitz and Jordan Robertson.
Nathan O’Toole, Dustin Blake, Tobie Cameron, Cooper Williams, Nathan Morrow and Nathan Henry were best for the Blues.

It’s a general bye next weekend.
Round 14 will be played on August 5 from 2.25pm.
