EAGLEHAWK capped a successful trip to Kerang as it won Sunday’s second round match in the Champions IGA-backed CVFL women’s football league.
The Hawks led 17-0 at quarter-time of the match in Kerang’s Riverside Park.
It was an even second term as Eaglehawk added 2.3 and the Blues scored 2.1.
Eaglehawk charged clear in the third term as it added 5.2 to nil.
At the final siren it was Eaglehawk in front, 83-19.
Grace Edlin and Ebony Whiley kicked three goals apiece, as Taylor Bellesini and Lily Den Houting chipped in with two majors.
Goalkickers for Kerang were Demi Greenwood, Toni Kelly and Kerri-Ann Zeunert.
Eaglehawk’s best were Kirstin Shaw, Georgina Hyett, Den Houting, Emily Field and Grace Murley.
Hannah Stewart, Jemma Meehan, Sophie Peacock, Greenwood and Casy Unger played well for Kerang.
Strathfieldsaye Storm kept Kyneton goalless on the Tigers’ turf at Kyneton Showgrounds.
Storm won 4.11 (35) to 0.4.
Best for Kyneton were Heidi Erasmus, Natalie Korinfsky, Jordan Savoia and Shannon White.
A list of Storm’s best players was not supplied.
Bendigo Thunder rolled to a 135-nil victory against North Bendigo at Weeroona Oval.
Britney Mueck was in superb form as she booted 10 goals.
Thunder also had Phoebe Cuttriss and Georgia Gordon add three apiece.
Best for Thunder were Imogen Kendal, Sophie Sarre, Mueck, Cuttriss and Hannah Perry.
North Bendigo’s best were Mackenzie Brouwer, Lindsay Arthur, Matilda Henley-Johnstone and Laura Douglas.
The match between Kangaroo Flat and Golden Square will be played on the Roos’ ground at Bendigo Mazda Oval in Dower Park on May 22.

Kerang and Bendigo Thunder meet at Riverside Park in Kerang.
