Bloods raise pressure against White Hills

THE Elmore Bloods will turn up the pressure when they face the Winslow White Hills Demons in this Saturday’s 15th round of A-grade netball in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL season.

It’s third against first on Elmore’s court.

A Bloods’ line-up jointly coached by Allira Holmes and Gabe Richards will be determined to prove it learnt plenty from its previous clash with White Hills.

When the teams met in round six it was the Lauren Bowles-coached White Hills which dominated play at Winslow Constructors Oval in Scott Street.

The reigning premier blitzed in all thirds of the court to net a 71-33 victory against the Bloods.

Both teams are in strong form.

White Hills won last Saturday’s home game against North Bendigo by 24 goals as Elmore capped its trip to Pigeon Park in Heathcote’s Barrack Reserve to score a 33-goal win.

Another big match on Saturday will be at Leitchville where Leitchville Gunbower takes on Heathcote.

It may be a prelude to an elimination final as the Bombers and Saints are fourth and fifth.

In round six it was the Caitlyn Hamilton-coached LG which won on Heathcote’s court by four goals.

A Saints team jointly coached by Brooke Bolton and Kelsey Hayes will be determined to square this season’s ledger with the Bombers at one-all.

Colbinabbin is back home at M.J. Morgan Oval to take on Mount Pleasant.

The Jen McIntyre-coached Grasshoppeers will start favourite against the Blues.

Most recent hit-out at home for Colbo ended in a win against White Hills.

Big test for the Anthea McCleary-coached Mount Pleasant which won last Saturday’s match against Lockington Bamawm United by 19 goals.

North Bendigo takes on Harlowe Huntly Hawks on the Bulldogs’ court at Bendigo Club Oval in North Bendigo’s Atkins Street.

The Kiralee Kinder and Stacey Kingdon-coached North Bendigo will be keen to achieve its third win of the season.

The Bulldogs won the round six showdown with the Kym Bell-coached Hawks at Huntly’s Strauch Reserve by 16 goals.

Lockington Bamawm United has the bye.
