THE ladder-leading Maiden Gully YCW Eagles soared to a big victory in Saturday’s 10th round of A-grade netball in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley FNL season.
Maiden Gully YCW made its way across to Marong’s Malone Park for a crucial contest.
The Adam Boldiston-coached Eagles showed they will be hard to stop in the run to consecutive premierships as they scored a 68-43 victory against the Sue Borserio-coached Panthers.
Newbridge gained a vital break on Bridgewater in the duel to decide fifth and a place in the finals.
The Selina Holland-coached Newbridge marked their first home match at Beck Legal Riverside Oval in ’23 by scoring a 55-42 win against the Chelsea Hicks-coached Calivil United.
The result means Newbridge is now four points and more than 30 per cent clear of Bridgewater.
The Aimie Brown-coached Bridgewater could not contain Mitiamo’s dominance through mid-court and in attack.
Runner-up last season, Mitiamo scored a 68-27 win at Bridgewater.
The Jen Wilson-coached Superoos are second in the premiership race.
Inglewood celebrated its second victory of the season.
Jointly coached by Helen Ward and Dianne Wayman, Inglewood won 40-33 against Bears-Lagoon Serpentine at Gadsden Finance Serpentine Reserve.
A tally of 33 goals was one of the best by the Stacee Burns-coached Bears this season.
Highest returns for BLS have been 39 at Pyramid Hill, 37 against Bridgewater, and 35 at Inglewood in the season opener.
Pyramid Hill had the bye.

Pyramid Hill returns to its court at Mitchell Park to meet Calivil United.
