LVFNL Round 16 Netball Preview | Bulldogs face high-flying Eagles on hill

PYRAMID Hill takes on the ladder-leading Maiden Gully YCW in Saturday’s 16th round of A-grade netball in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley FNL season.

It’s back-to-back home games for the Gemma Scott-coached Pyramid Hill at Mitchell Park.

The Bulldogs will be keen to bounce back after a 20-goal loss to Mitiamo.

Another daunting task for the team in red, white and blue as Maiden Gully YCW won its latest hit-out on Newbridge’s court at Beck Legal Riverside Oval by 35 goals.

The Adam Boldiston-coached Eagles defeated Pyramid Hill by 22 goals at Marist College Bendigo in round seven.

Calivil United is at home to take on Mitiamo.

A 20-goal win by the Jen Wilson-coached Mitiamo at Pyramid Hill meant the Superoos jumped to the third rung on the ladder.

Although the match is on the Demons’ court, Mitiamo will start favourite to take the points.

In round seven, Mitiamo won 59-45 against the red and blue at John Forbes Oval.

Newbridge and Inglewood clash at Newbridge’s Beck Legal Riverside Oval.

The Selina Hollland-coached Newbridge will be desperate to take the points and stay a win clear of the sixth-placed Bridgewater.

In round seven, Newbridge won by 25 goals on Inglewood’s court at Dissy Machinery Oval.

The Helen Ward and Dianne Wayman-coached Inglewood had the bye last round.

An upset result would be the Blues third win of the season.

Bridgewater is at home to play Bears-Lagoon Serpentine.

The Aimie Brown-coached Bridgewater must win to stay in contention for the finals.

Latest match for the Mean Machine ended in a 20-goal win against Calivil United.

The Stacee Burns-coached Bears-Lagoon Serpentine worked hard, but could not stop Marong’s run to a 74-22 win at Gadsden Finance Serpentine Reserve last round.

Previous meeting between the Mean Machine and Bears ended in a 21-goal win for the Bridgewater line-up.

Marong has the bye.
