The Central Victoria Football League is exited to announce the introduction of Under 18 Girls to the Senior Womens structure for season 2024.
As per the AFL Victoria Country Rules and Regulations, the Central Victoria Football League (CVFL) has had the approval for two age groups to operate within the league.
Under 18 Girls commenced in the Bendigo Junior Football League (BJFL) in 2010 with Central Victoria clubs competing in the AFL Victoria competition from 2007.
The BJFL and CVFL have consulted the clubs and analysed the data / trends and agree the benefits of the changes is the best way forward for development and sustainability of both leagues.
We thank the BJFL for their cooperation and support of female football in the region and look forward to continuing the relationship between the two leagues.
The Champions IGA CVFL went through a nomination period along with abiding by the AFL Victoria Country Rules regarding new teams.
From this process, the CVFL is pleased to announce the introduction of 3 new clubs to the CVFL along with all existing clubs renominating.
NEW CLUBS: Marong FNC, Sandhurst FNC & White Hills JFC. The CVFL met with all 3 clubs to discuss their nomination / league requirements and are pleased with the enthusiasm,
progression and planning shown by all 3 clubs.
