PYRAMID Hill outpointed Bears-Lagoon Serpentine in Saturday’s fourth round of A-grade netball in Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley FNL action.
The Bulldogs defensive pressure through mid-court and in the Bears’ goaling circle was outstanding in a 60-40 result.
A Pyramid Hill team coached by Chelsea Emmerson, Simone Edgley and Laura Herbert was determined to bounce back from its loss to Mitiamo the previous round.
The Bears are jointly coached by Danielle O’Toole and Lara Clements.
Bridgewater chalked up its third win a row.
The Caz Wood and Olivia Hoiles-coached Bridgewater won the home game against Marong by 25 goals.
A high-scoring contest ended in a 67-42 result for the Mean Machine.
It was not as easy as the score may indicate as the Bridget Willox-coached Marong brought a high level of pressure to the court.
Mitiamo dominated its clash with Maiden Gully YCW Eagles at Mitiamo’s John Forbes Oval.
The Abbey Battersby and Jess Kaur-coached Mitiamo won 80-25.
Was a tough afternoon for the Leisa Barry-coached Eagles against the reigning premier.
Newbridge scored a 52-22 win against Inglewood at Deepcore Drilling Oval in Newbridge’s Riverside Park.
The Selina Holland and Kristy Gandy-coached Newbridge is fourth in the premiership race.
An Inglewood team coached by Caitlyn Cartwright will be home at Centre State Scaffolding Oval to play Mitiamo next Saturday.
