BRIDGEWATER coach Lachie Sharp is just two goals away from reaching another century after 16 rounds in Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley FNL senior footy.
Sharp kicked 12 goals in Bridgewater’s big win against Newbridge last Saturday to now be on 98.
The Mean Machine powered to a 44-nil lead by quarter-time on Bridgewater’s turf.
Newbridge hit back with goals by Chris Dixon and Hugh McGillivray in the second.
Bridgewater led 83-12 by half-time and the attacking forays did not let up across the final hour.
By the final siren Bridgewater led 146-14 in a match where Sharp dominated in the forward 50m arc.
Other multiple goalkickers for the Mean Machine were Tyler Estrada on three and Jack Merrin with two.
Bridgewater’s best were Lachie Sharp, Darcy Ferguson, Luke Ellings, Jack Merrin, Tyler Estrada and Boden Alexander.
It was a tough afternoon for Newbridge in which Liam Nihill, Ben McKinley, Cooper Hoye, Jack Teasdale and Caleb Argus were best.

A second-quarter blitz set up Bears-Lagoon Serpentine’s win on Mitiamo’s ground at John Forbes Oval.
The Bears led 15-8 at quarter-time and then slammed on six goals in the second as the Superoos added a point.
Jaxon Addlem, Justin Laird and Nash Kemp won plenty of the footy and gun forward Josh Mellington capitalised on many chances with another 10-goal haul.
By the final siren the Jake Wilkinson-coached Bears led 118-51.
As Mellington dominated in attack the BLS line-up had Nash Kemp and Ross Turner chip in with two goals.
Mitiamo’s attack was led Kobe Galvin and coach Luke Lougoon with two.
Best for the Bears included Josh Mellington and key defender Tyler Miles.
Just weeks after scoring a century in a Twenty20 cricket match for the Philippines, Miggy Podosky was back on the footy field representing Bears-Lagoon Serpentine.
Best players for Mitiamo were Luke Lougoon, Matt Gilmour, Jackson Fall, Jayden Matthews, Ryan Duncan and Zak Myers.
Inglewood dominated its home game at Centre State Scaffolding Oval against Calivil United Demons.
The Fergus Payne-coached led 21-1 at quarter-time and 49-2 by half-time.
As the Blues added another nine goals in the second half it kept the Demons goalless.
Callum March and Seb Erharter kicked four and three goals in a 110-6 victory.
Inglewood’s best were Gabe Nevins, Bregon Cotchett, Tyler Murphy, Harry Veitch, Lachlan Ford and Luke Matheson.
Jayden Leach, Sam Green, Jack Maher, James Steel, Josh Connolly and Jayden Manderson were best for the Sam Maher-coached Demons.
It was a tough afternoon for Maiden Gully YCW Eagles against Marong at Marist College in Maiden Gully.
The Eagles were kept goalless as Marong claimed a 54-5 victory.
The Panthers made a brilliant start to lead 28-1 by quarter-time.
There were seven goalkickers for the Kain Robins and Paul Thomson-coached Marong in this contest.
Best for Marong were Michael Bradbury, Richard Tibbett, Lachlan Lee, captain Nathan Devanny, Todd Davies and Kepler Thomson.
Stacy Fiske, Anthony Robins, Grayson Brown, Ed Crisp, Daniel Russell and Mitch Whitham were Maiden Gully YCW’s best.
The Eagles are jointly coached by Shawn Filo, non-playing, and Angus Monfries, playing.
