STRATHFIELDSAYE Storm was victorious in the under-18 girls and under-14 girls matches in the weekend’s third round of the Bendigo Bank Bendigo Junior Football League season.
In the under-18 Girls match, Storm kicked 14 girls against Eaglehawk at Triple M Park in Strathfieldsaye’s Tannery Lane.
Marnie Wakefield kicked three goals in a best afield performance as Madeline Bennett also booted three majors.
Storm’s best included Nadia Peebles, Rhian and Sienna Hobbs, and Caitlin Evans.
Strathfieldsaye won the under-14 Girls’ match on Eaglehawk’s turf at Canterbury Park by 66 points.
Alysha Boyd, Gemma Fox and Scarlett Ward all kicked two goals in the 9.13 (67) to 0.1 (1) result.
Storm’s best were Alysha Boyd, Dempsey McDonnell, Scarlett Ward, Maddie Dunn, Gemma Fox and Jasmin Wood.
The under-16 Girls match between White Hills and Strathfieldsaye at White Hills was not played because of Storm’s forfeit.
