MOULAMEIN has drawn level on 16 premiership points with Wandella after it beat the Bombers in Saturday’s 10th round of Golden Rivers senior footy.
The Swans from Moulamein soared to a 16-point victory in the Wandella Bombers hangar.
Moulamein made a flying start to the contest as it scored six goals in the opening term and led 41-8 by quarter-time.
The Bombers fought back to win the second and third quarters, 18-14 and 24-8.
Moulamein held a 13-point buffer going into the final term.
As the Swans scored 3.1 they kept the red and black to a tally of 2.4.
Moulamein’s players and fans celebrated a hard-fought 82-66 victory.
Brett Kennedy kicked five goals in a best afield performance for Moulamein as co-coach Hayden Dalitz added three majors.
Wandella’s attack was led by Abraham Keating and Logan Keighran on two each.
Best for a Moulamein team which has Brodie Tonkin as co-coach were Brett Kennedy, Trae Atkinson, Morgan Turvey, Will Gibson, Ely Miller and Adam Saunders.
Wandella coach Justin Robinson was best along with John Cooper, Adam Ward, Logan Tuohey, Jack Radcliffe and Tim Robinson.
A second-half blitz capped a 68-point win for Ultima at home against Murrabit.
The Kangaroos faced a fierce challenge from the Blues in the first term as Ultima led 27-19 by quarter-time.
The reigning premier won the second quarter, 23-8, and then scored six goals as it kept Murrabit to a goal in the crucial third term.
Ultima held a nine-goal lead going into the last and finished with another six goals.
The Blues never gave up and added for majors as Ultima marked a 129-61 victory.
Dustin Burns and Jye Purtill kicked four goals each for the Kangaroos as Matt Taverna added three and Darcy Farrell chipped in with two.
Murrabit’s attack was led by the in-form Adam Thomson with four goals as Ben Derbas booted two.
Best for Ultima were Thomas Bull, Cameron Johnson, Dustin Burns, co-coach Mitch Seton-Stewart, Darcy Farrell and Billy Delmenico.
The Kangaroos have Kyle Symons as co-coach.
Murrabit’s best were Bryden Morison, Adam Thomson, Bailey Pengelly, Brody Palmer, Ben Derbas and coach Jack Shannahan.
The Hay Lions roared to a 30-plus goal win at home against Macorna.
Hay’s dominance was reflected in a remarkable start in which it had 17 scoring shots in the first quarter and led 67-nil by the break.
The Lions’ pressure and run did not let up as Hay scored seven goals in the second as Macorna scored a point.
After five goals in the third, Hay slammed on 11 in the last quarter to complete a 211-27 victory.
Jack Headon and Declan Watson both kicked seven goals as Dean Aylett and Justin Ellis booted five and Jacob Watson added four.
The Lions also had Daniel Stewart chip in with two majors.
Macorna’s attack was led by Matt Angel on two goals.
Best for the Lions were Dean Aylett, Jacob Watson, Jack and Fergus Cattanach, Jack Headon and Harry Loughnan.
Hay is jointly coached by Jason Aylett and James Moran.
There were no best players selected for the Paul Longstaff and Shaun Haffenden-coached Macorna.

The 11th round in the Golden Rivers season will be played on July 19.
Murrabit will be on home soil to play Hay in the clash of the Blues and Lions from 2.25pm.
Macorna and Wandella meet on Macorna’s turf.
Moulamein hosts Ultima in the battle of the Swans and Kangaroos.
