THE Woorinen Tigers tore the Nyah Nyah West United defence apart in Saturday’s round 14 clash in Radio 3SH-backed Central Murray senior footy.
Woorinen had home-ground advantage for the big clash with the reigning premier.
The Demons made a great start and led 20-13 at quarter-time.
From there the Tim Free-coached Tigers seized control.
Woorinen won the second term, 30-1, and then scored three goals in the third as the Demons added 1.3.
Another three majors for the yellow and black in the last quarter clinched an 82-31 victory.
Woorinen’s attack was led by Will Collicoat, Jordy McInnes, Matt Perry, Kyle Skene and Lachlan Warburton with two goals each.
Best for the Tigers were Henry Thompson, Lachlan Gardner, Taylor Cameron, Lachlan Warburton, Zack Ryan and Jye Barry.
Jordan Iudica, Nash Richman, Zack Threadgold, Joel Campbell, Nic Threadgold and Dominic Gallo were Nyah Nyah West United’s best.
As Woorinen sits atop the ladder on a 12-1 record the Corey Daniels and Jason Murphy-coached NNWU Demons are fourth on an 8-5 tally.
Closest match of the round was at Tooleybuc where the Tooleybuc Manangatang Saints beat Lake Boga by 17 points.
A high-scoring first quarter went Lake Boga’s way, 27-24.
The Brad Morris-coached Saints struck back to score 4.3 in the second as the Magpies added 2.2.
A 10-point buffer for Tooleybuc Manangatang at half-time became 17 at a quarter to go.
Both teams added 2.3 in the last as the Saints marked a 92-75 victory.
Ethan Johnstone, Josh Koster and Connor Nutting all kicked four goals for the Saints.
The Magpies’ attack was led by Braden Padmore on three as Nathaniel Holmes-Brown chipped in with two.
Best for Tooleybuc Manangatang were Connor Mcdonald, Josh Koster, Elliot Chalmers, Ethan Johnstone, Ben Arentz and Connor Nutting.
Braden Padmore, Marty Parsons, Andrew McDonald, Dylan McCosh, Rex Hickman and Hunter Hartland were best for the Dean Helmers-coached Lake Boga.
The Blues from Kerang turned a four-point deficit at half-time on Swan Hill’s ground into a 21-point lead by the final siren.
Kerang made a flying start and led 20-5 by the first break.
The Michael Herlihy-coached Swans fought back brilliantly to win the second, 33-14.
In the third it was Kerang which controlled a lot of the play and scored 6.2 as the Swans slotted 2.1.
Led by play of Scott Pay, Leigham Mcalpin and Martin Kelly it was Kerang which kicked clear for a 91-70 victory.
The Blues’ attack was led by Zak Bozanich on three goals as Flynn McKnight and Jordan McNeil kicked two each.
Swan Hill’s Kallen Heslop slotted a match-hight five goals as captain Luke Phelan kicked two.
Best for the Paul Grayling-coached Kerang included Jonah and Flynn McKnight, and Zak Bozanich.
Swan Hill’s best were Luke Phelan, Harry Graham, Tom Holdstock, Jack Brown, Cooper Angus and Kallen Heslop.
The Cohuna Kangas dominated their home game against Tyntynder to win by 76 points.
Cohuna led 13-7 at quarter-time and 33-13 by the long break.
In the third the Kangas kicked 4.1 as the Bulldogs added four behinds.
Cohuna’s best term was the last as it slotted six goals and kept Tyntynder to a solitary goal.
By the final siren Cohuna led 99-23.
Jacob Mitchell led the Kangas’ attack on six goals as Corbin Anderson booted three and Jude Palmer and Tom Toma added two each.
Tyntynder had three goalkickers.
The Kangas’ best were Tom Toma, Ricky Monti, Jackson Williams, Jacob Mitchell, Sam McGlone and Jude Palmer.
Tyntynder’s best were Bailey Reeves, co-coach Darcy Bibby, Elia Ware, Mick Dedini, Jack Kirby, and co-coach Charlie Ford.
The Bulldogs also have Justin Ellis as coach.
It was a bye for Balranald, Koondrook Barham, and Mallee Eagles.

Tyntynder and Woorinen will clash at Swan Hill’s Alan Garden Reserve.
It’s a showdown of two mobs of Kangaroos as Balranald and Cohuna fight for the points at Balranald’s Greenham Park.
