TYNTYNDER put a dent in Lake Boga’s top-five aspirations as it won Saturday’s round nine clash in the Radio 3SH-backed Central Murray senior footy season.
On the rebound from a 23-point loss to Swan Hill in the stand-alone King’s Birthday holiday weekend match, Tyntynder charged to a 31-21 lead by quarter-time at Lake Boga Sports Club.
The Magpies fought back to win the second term, 26-10.
Tyntynder then led 61-56 at the start of the final quarter.
Inspired by the play of Bailey Reeves, Jack Woodward and co-coach Darcy Bibby it was Tyntynder which won the last term, 32-24, and the match, 93-70.
Elia Ware kicked five goals as Josh Potter added four majors for the Bulldogs.
Other multiple goalkickers for the red, white and blue were Kyle Doran and Jack Woodward on two.
Lake Boga’s attack was led by Rex Hickman, Jayden Lonergan and Zac Warne on two.
Best for Tyntynder included Elia Ware, Akasha Jenkins-Jaiswal and Sam Bull.
It was the second win of the season for a Tyntynder team which also has Justin Ellis and Charlie Ford as co-coaches.
Rex Hickman, Xavier Sherlock, Rory Colville, Maximus Caruso, Chad O’Sullivan and Darby Hayes were best for the Dean Helmers-coached Lake Boga.
The ladder-leading Woorinen won every quarter in an 87-42 victory on Koondrook Barham’s turf in Barham.
The Tigers charged to a 21-7 lead at quarter-time and were up 42-15 by the long break.
Woorinen won the third, 24-12, and the last, 21-15.
Taylor Cameron, Matt Perry and Kyle Skene all kicked two goals in an 87-42 victory for the yellow and black.
Koondrook Barham’s attack was led by Roy George on two goals.
Best for the Tim Free-coached Woorinen were Mitch Uhlhorn, Kane Reid, Lachlan Warburton, Tom Langford, Taylor Cameron and Matt Perry.
Roy George, Jacob Barrington, Isaac Corvo, Harry Bremner, Patrick Goble and Nathan O’Toole were best for the Marcus Demaria-coached River Raiders.
Nyah Nyah West United marked a 59-point victory on Kerang’s turf at Riverside Park.
The Demons led 20-7 at quarter-time before Kerang hit back to win the second term, 31-27.
Quarter three was dominated by NNWU as the red and blue slammed on eight goals and kept Kerang to just two goals.
A 47-point lead for the reigning premier going into the final term was 59 by the end as NNWU won 129-70.
Corey Daniels led the Demons’ attack on five goals as Max Thompson and Joel Walsh kicked three each.
Other multiple goalkickers for NNWU were Nic O’Neill and Liam White on two.
Kerang’s leading goalkicker was Zak Bozanich on five as Bohden McKnight kicked three.
Best for Nyah Nyah West United were Ethan Saville, Ethan Curran, Max Thompson, Corey Daniels, Joel Walsh and Lucas Iudica.
The Demons are jointly coached by Corey Daniels and Jason Murphy.
Best for Kerang were Rylee Gitsham, Bohden McKnight, Tyson Clingan, Flynn McKnight, Martin Kelly and Myles Greenwood.
The Blues are coached by Paul Grayling.
Tooleybuc Manangatang stayed in striking distance of the top five as it scored an 87-point win against Balranald in Manangatang.
The Balranald Kangaroos bounced away to lead 15-12 at quarter-time.
In the second the Saints slammed on 7.3 and kept the visitors to a tally of 2.1.
Tooleybuc Manangatang held an eight-goal lead going into the last quarter after it won the term, 33-14.
Isaac Franks capped a best afield performance with seven goals in a 131-44 victory for the Saints.
Other multiple goalkickers were Ethan Johnstone, four; Josh Koster, Joel Munnich, Connor Mcdonald and Josh Williams on two.
Balranald’s leading goalkicker was co-coach Ben Fuller on three.
Best for the Brad Morris-coached Saints were Isaac Franks, Josh Koster, Elliot Chalmers, Ethan Johnstone, Josh Domaille and Josh Grant.
Co-coach Jack Salau, Cody Henness, Ryan Middlebrook, Brad Hartman, Roarke Smith and Will Lowry were Balranald’s best.
The Kangaroos also have Ben Mahon as a co-coach.
Cohuna Kangas won on Swan Hill’s turf by 128 points.
A closely-fought opening term went Cohuna’s way, 23-12.
The Kangas won the next two quarters, 43-6 and 36-1.
The last term was one of this season’s best by the Jack Geary-coached Cohuna as it slammed on nine goals to complete a 160-32 victory.
Jacob Mitchell kicked six goals as Tom Toma and Jackson Williams added four each.
The Kangas had Riley Hird and Jude Palmer chip in with two goals each.
Swan Hill’s attack was led by Kallen Heslop on three.
A list of Cohuna’s best was not supplied.
Best for the Michael Herlihy-coached Swans were Will Simpson, Luke Phelan, Harry Scott, Cooper Angus, Tom Holdstock and Kallen Heslop.
Mallee Eagles had the bye.

Lake Boga and Mallee Eagles play at Lake Boga Sports Club.
Koondrook Barham will be back at Barham to take on Balranald.
