LEAGUE leaders Mitiamo and Maiden Gully YCW Eagles meet in this Saturday’s sixth round of A-grade netball in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley Football Netball League.
The unbeaten run for both line-ups is on the line at the Eagles nest at Marist College Oval in Maiden Gully.
Mitiamo’s latest victory was a hard-scoring match at home against Marong.
The Superoos won 57-48 at John Forbes Oval in Mitiamo.
Defence was the key as Maiden Gully YCW won at Mitchell Park in Pyramid Hill.
The Eagles fought for a 36-32 result.
Marong takes on Bridgewater at Discover Marong Park in Malone Park.
The Panthers face a daunting task against a team on the rebound from a 69-48 loss at home to Calivil United.
Victorious in its opening three games, Bridgewater went in as favourite at Laser Plumbing Oval in Bridgewater, but the Demons turned up the heat from the first contest and never let-up.
Inglewood faces Newbridge at Dissy Machinery Oval in Inglewood.
The Blues and Maroons are yet to win this season.
Inglewood has not played since its clash at Bridgewater on April 24.
Newbridge had a rest last Saturday as it was drawn to play Bears Lagoon Serpentine.
The Maroons’ best performance was a 15-goal loss at Mitiamo in the third round.
All A-grade matches start at 3pm.
Calivil United will play Bears Lagoon Serpentine in the lower grades at Serpentine
Pyramid Hill has the bye.
