WINNERS of three matches in Saturday’s sixth round in the Goldacres North Central senior footy all went on a goalkicking frenzy.
Final margins were 187, 143 and 125 points as Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers, Calder United Lions and and Wedderburn dominated.
Closest result was at Boort Park where the ladder-leading Birchip-Watchem scored a 117-78 victory against the Magpies.
Boort made a superb start to lead 31-3 at quarter-time.
The Ash Connick-coached Birchip-Watchem charged back into the contest as it slammed on 7.5 and kept the Pies to a point in the second term.
Gun goalkicker Ben Edwards finished with a match-high five goals as Daniel Bell, Tom Gibson and Joseph Reid added two.
Boort’s attack was led by Jhye Baddeley-Kelly on four as Ethan Coleman and Carlos Egan kicked three and two majors.
Best for the Bulls were Dale Hinkley, Nicholas Rippon, Will Lee, Ben Lakin, Hamish Hosking and Meyrick Buchanan.
Keiren Wilson, Kieren Jaksic, James Keeble, Peter Barbopoulos, Kayne Rutley and Ryan McGhie played well for the Dale Cameron-coached Boort.
Wedderburn won on Donald’s turf by 125 points.
The Tom Metherell-coached Redbacks led 28-nil at quarter-time and then scored six, seven and four goals across the next three quarters.
Mitch McEwen kicked five goals in a best-on-ground performance as Oscar Holt added four goals in a 138-13 victory.
Other multiple goalkickers for Wedderburn were Jackson McEwen, three; and Darcy Jackson, two.
Brent and Sam Arho were on target for Donald.
Best for Wedderburn were Mitch and Jackson McEwen, Hamish Lockhart, Ben Bacon, Joe Lockhart and Isaac Holt.
Donald coach Daniel Pearce was best along with Eddie Landwehr, Harry Forrest, Robert Walker, Ben Arho and Dyson Bell-Warren.
A 10-goal haul by Jack Exell highlighted Calder United Lions big win on St Arnaud’s turf at Lord Nelson Park.
The Lions led 26-18 at quarter-time and then slammed on eight goals in the second to hold a 52-point lead by half-time.
As Calder United scored five goals in the third, St Arnaud replied with three.
The Lions finished this contest with plenty of run as they slammed on 12 goals in the last and kept the Saints scoreless.
At the final siren Calder United Lions led 187-44.
It was an excellent performance by Jack Exell on 10 goals as Mitch Farmer booted five.
Other multiple goalkickers were co-coach Jordan Humphreys, three; Zach Caccaviello, Steven Kennedy and George Turner on two.
St Arnaud’s attack was led by Max Hungerford on three.
Best for the Lions were Steven Kennedy, Jack Exell, Daniel Watts, Charlie Fawcett, Kobe Lloyd and Matt Trzeciak.
Calder United has Darryl Wilson as non-playing co-coach.
Owen Lowe, Matthew Goode, Kurtis Torney, Brad Organ, Zac Phillips and Mitch Birthsel were best for the Scott Driscoll-coached Saints.
The Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers roared to a 187-point win at Charlton Park.
In a brilliant start, Sea Lake Nandaly kicked eight goals straight in the opening term to lead 48-21 at the break.
It was a ruthless performance by the Tigers as they scored seven goals in the second and then slammed on 11 in the third term.
Another eight majors in the last completed a 220-33 victory against the Navies.
Jarvis Keogh led the attack on six goals as Max Cahoon, Trent Donnan, Lachy McClelland and Adam Pattison added four each.
The Tigers had Thomas Cox, Tyson McKenzie, Cruz O’Sullivan and Chase Tait chip in with two goals each.
There were no multiple goalkickers for Charlton.
Best for the Billy McInnes and Bryce Delmenico-coached Tigers were Trent Donnan, Jarvis Keogh, Max Cahoon, Tyson McKenzie, Lachy McClelland and Brodie Adcock.
Thomas Finlay, Jed Thompson, Ben Lanyon, Mason Heenan, Elliott Fitzpatrick and Kris Clifford were best for the Mitch Collins-coached Navies.

In next Saturday’s seventh round, Wedderburn takes on Boort from 2.30pm at Wedderburn’s Donaldson Park.
Sea Lake Nandaly will be on home turf at Sea Lake to play Donald.
Calder United Lions face Charlton at Nullawil.
Birchip-Watchem tackles St Arnaud at Birchip’s George Cartwright Oval.
