THE Kangaroos from Balranald and Cohuna both bound their way to big victories in Saturday’s 11th round of senior footy in the Radio 3SH-backed Central Murray competition.
Balranald booted 25 goals in a high-scoring clash at home with Swan Hill at Greenham Park.
The Roos led 44-19 at quarter-time and 77-27 by the long break.
A closely-fought third term went Balranald’s way, 32-26.
As Ryan Middlebook, Tanner Coulthard and Tom Salau led the charge, Balranald kicked on for a 158-76 victory.
Former Western Bulldogs midfielder Roarke Smith led Balranald’s attack on five goals.
The Kangaroos had Tanner Coulthard, Ben Fuller and Ryan Middlebrook chip in with four each as Colin Andrews added two.
Swan Hill’s Kallen Heslop kicked a match-high six goals as Will Simpson and Lachlan Vrolijks slotted two majors.
Best for Balranald included Tim Marsh, Lachlan Collihole and Ian Fuller.
Swan Hill’s best were Kallen Heslop, Will Burns, Sam Brown, Perry Roberts, Lachlan Vrolijks and Cooper Angus.
The Kangaroos who are jointly coached by Ben Fuller, Ben Mahon and Jack Salau now have a two-eight record.
Swan Hill is coached by Michael Herlihy.
Cohuna Kangas dominated its home game against Koondrook Barham.
The Jack Geary-coached Kangas led 32-14 at quarter-time and 58-25 by the long break.
As Cohuna added six goals straight in the third it held the River Raiders to a tally of 1.3.
Joel Helman and Ricky Monti went on to boot four goals each as Jude Palmer booted three in a 131-53 victory.
Cohuna had Jacob Mitchell and Tom Toma chip in with two goals.
Leading goalkickers for Koondrook Barham were Kye Attwell and Jacob Barrington with two.
Best for the Kangas were Ricky Monti, Tom Toma, Sam McGlone, Sam Leitch, Joel Helman and Brady Walerys.
Lee Dale, Roy George, Daniel O’Connell, Patrick Goble, Jacob Barrington and Lachlan Bates were best for the Marcus Demaria-coached River Raiders.
Tooleybuc Manangatang scored an 80-point win against Tyntynder at Swan Hill’s Alan Garden Reserve.
The Saints led 20-9 at quarter-time and then slammed on seven goals in the second as the Bulldogs added 1.2.
Defences dominated most of the third term as Tooleybuc Manangatang led 79-18 going into the final quarter.
Connor Nutting kicked five goals as ruckman Connor Mcdonald marked a best-on-ground performance with three goals in a 105-25 victory.
Isaac Franks and Blake Grant booted two goals for the Saints.
It was a tough hit-out for Tyntynder which was held to a tally of three goals.
Best for the Brad Morris-coached Saints were Connor Mcdonald, Blake Grant, Connor Nutting, Josh Domaille, Josh Williams and Rydar Morris.
Tyntynder’s best were Bailey Reeves, Josh Potter, Patrick Crowe, Jack Kirby, Mick Dedini and Elia Ware.
The Bulldogs are jointly coached by Darcy Bibby, Justin Ellis and Charlie Ford.
Nyah Nyah West United dominated its clash with Lake Boga on Nyah’s turf.
A high-scoring opening term ended with the NNWU Demons in front, 43-25.
Another seven goals in the second term as the Magpies were held to just two majors meant the Demons held a 52-point buffer by half-time.
A closely-fought third quarter went the way of the Demons, 14-8.
With co-coach Corey Daniels dominating in attack with nine goals the Demons went on to claim a 146-63 victory.
Other multiple goalkickers for the red and blue were Max Thompson, five; and Ethan Curran, two.
Lake Boga’s attack was led by Nathaniel Holmes-Brown and Braden Padmore on three each.
Best for the NNWU Demons were Corey Daniels, Ethan Saville, Max Thompson, Jordan Iudica, Ethan Curran and Jaydn Stirling.
Chasing back-to-back premierships, Nyah Nyah West United has Jason Murphy as co-coach.
Lake Boga is coached by Dean Helmers.
Mallee Eagles soared to another big win against Kerang at Lalbert.
The Eagles scored 6.6 and held the Blues to a goal in the first term.
By half-time Mallee led 71-13.
Inspired by the play of co-coaches Brent Macleod and Harry Allen, Mallee added another 12 goals in the second half to complete a 153-28 victory.
Darcy Hourigan and Brent Macleod kicked five goals each as Brady Fordham booted three.
The Eagles had Jonah Devlin and Ethan Pinchen chip in with two majors.
Kerang’s leading goalkicker was Zak Bozanich on two.
Best for the Eagles included Brady Fordham, Isaiah Bull, Cameron Cook and Clem Miller.
Hugh Bremner, Scott Pay, Flynn McKnight, Cooper Meehan, Bohden McKnight and Tyson Clingan were best for the Paul Grayling-coached Blues.
The ladder-leading Woorinen had the bye.
