MOULAMEIN proved its win against Ultima earlier in the season was no fluke as it repeated the feat against the Kangaroos in Saturday’s 11th round in Golden Rivers senior footy.
The Swans and Kangas clashed on Moulamein’s turf.
Moulamein raced to a 28-9 lead by quarter time and then scored 4.2 in the second as Ultima added 4.5.
Quarter three was to be Moulamein’s best this season.
A Swans’ line-up coached by Brodie Tonkin and Hayden Dalitz slammed on nine goals in the third term to lead 112-51 at the last change.
Ultima hit back to win the last, 32-26, but it was the Swans who celebrated a 128-83 victory.
Brett Kennedy led the Swans attack on five goals as Trae Atkinson, Hayden Dalitz and Tobie Richardson added three each.
Ultima’s leading goalkickers were Corey Grey and Josh Dwyer on four and three as co-coach Mitch Seton-Stewart booted two.
Best for Moulamein were Blake Launer, Trae Atkinson, Will Gibson, Ethan Fitzpatrick, Heath Moloney and Tobie Richardson.
Ultima’s best were Thomas Bull, Ryan Featherby, Matt Taverna, Zac Denham, Mitch Seton-Stewart and Bailey Codling.
The Swans have now joined Wandella and Murrabit on five wins.
An Ultima team which has Kyle Symons as co-coach has a win-loss record of eight-three and is second on the ladder.
Hay was too strong away from home at Murrabit.
The Lions marked a 115-56 victory.
Dylan Collis led Hay’s attack on four goals as Declan Watson added three.
Other multiple goalkickers for the Lions were Jack Cattanach, Jack Headon and Jacob Watson with two.
Patrick Bryan led Murrabit’s attack on two goals.
Best for Hay were Dylan Collis, Jacob Watson, Brad Pocock, Tom McGufficke, Cooper Scott and Daniel Stewart.
The Lions are jointly coached by Jason Aylett and James Moran.
The Blues’ best were Matt Moon, Bailey Pengelly, coach Jack Shannahan, Patrick Bryan, Jack Keath and Sam Copland.
Macorna could not halt Wandella’s charge to a 33-point victory.
The Tigers were on home turf in Macorna, but it was the Bombers who flew clear in the second half.
Macorna teamed brilliantly in the first hour to be up 46-45 at the main break.
From there it was the Justin Robinson-coached Wandella which seized control.
The Bombers scored five goals and kept the Tigers to just one major in the third term.
Led by the play of Justin Robinson, Nathan Boysen and Archer Lancaster, Wandella then won the last term, 32-25.
Logan Keighran and Troy Robinson kicked three goals each for the Bombers as Archer Lancaster and Justin Robinson slotted two majors.
Macorna’s Josh Walters finished with a match-high seven goals as Luke Gray kicked two.
Best for Wandella included Sam Taylor, John Cooper and Connor Carter.
The Tigers’ best were Josh Walters, Luke Gray, Reece Wissell, Sam Whinfield, Blake Forster and Corey Walters.
Macorna is jointly coached by Shaun Haffenden and Paul Longstaff.
