STUNG by its third loss of the season, Ultima will be fired up for this Saturday’s clash with Wandella in round 12 of Golden Rivers senior footy.
Ultima will be on home turf as second takes on third from 2.25pm.
The Kangaroos are on the rebound from a 45-point loss to Moulamein.
It was the second time this season the Swans have defeated Ultima.
As the Kangas were beaten last round, Wandella marked a 33-point victory at Macorna.
When Ultima and Wandella met in round six it was the Kangaroos who won by 43 points.
Crucial match-ups for this Ultima and Wandella match include Ultima’s Cameron Johnson in the ruck against Darcy Ramage.
In the centre it will be Jake Foster opposed to Gregor Knight.
An Ultima attack led by Jack Delmenico, co-coach Mitch Seton-Stewart and Josh O’Dwyer will test Wandella defenders Logan Keighran, Laing Waddingham and Jarred Schlitz.
Kangaroos’ defenders Angus Hinton, Zac Cattlin and Matt Taverna take on Sam Taylor, Bombers’ coach Justin Robinson and Jack Radcliffe.
Ultima has Kyle Symons as co-coach.
The ladder-leading Hay will be on home turf against Moulamein.
It’s a danger game for the Lions as the Swans ride a wave of confidence following the win against Ultima in Moulamein.
The Jason Aylett and James Moran-coached Lions have a 10-1 record which includes a 124-point win against the Swans in round six.
Hay midfielders Cooper Scott, Fergus Cattanach and Daniel Stewart will take on Kaleb Richards, Xander Hartland and Mitch Ryan.
A formidable attack for the Lions includes Jack Headon, Declan Watson and Dean Aylett.
Moulamein defenders Ryan Atkins, Mark Drotsky and Will Gibson face a huge task.
A tight-knit defence for Hay is led by captain Brad Pocock, James Eddy and Tom McGufficke.
Moulamein will look to co-coach Hayden Dalitz, Koby Stanley and Tobie Richardson to make the most of goalscoring chances.
The Swans have Brodie Tonkin as co-coach.
It’s the Tigers against the Blues as Macorna hosts Murrabit.
When they met in round six the Jack Shannahan-coached Blues beat the Tigers by 38 points.
Macorna is desperate to break its winless run.
Best for the Tigers against Wandella last round were Josh Walters, Luke Gray, Reece Wissell and Sam Whinfield.
Macorna is jointly coached by Paul Longstaff and Shaun Haffenden.
It’s a huge match for Murrabit which could move to the third rung and be a win clear of Wandella and Moulamein.
The Blues’ squad includes Bryden Morison, Matt Moon, Pras Sayakhot, Patrick Bryan, Jack Keath, Jordan Lampi and Jacob Wade.
