IT’S a crucial match for Moulamein and Murrabit in this Saturday’s 14th round of Golden Rivers senior footy.
The Swans and Blues meet in a likely first semi-final final at Moulamein from 2.25pm.
Both are locked on 24 points and are a win clear of the fifth-placed Wandella at two rounds to go in the home-and-away series.
When they last met in round nine it was Murrabit which won at home against Moulamein by 55 points.
Both take winning form into this contest.
The Swans won last Saturday’s match with Macorna by 11 goals as Murrabit beat Wandella by 23 points.
Players to watch for Moulamein include Brett Kennedy, captain Xander Hartland, Morgan Turvey, Heath Moloney, Mark Drotsky and Ely Miller.
The Swans are jointly coached by Brodie Tonkin and Hayden Dalitz.
Murrabit coach Jack Shannahan was best-on-ground against Wandella last round.
The Blues’ line-up includes captain Ben Gillingham, Bryden Morison, Rhys Carmichael, Jordan Lampi, Austin McKerrow and Pras Sayakhot.
Wandella faces a huge test at home against the ladder-leading Hay.
A win for the Justin Robinson-coached Wandella would be massive as it fights to climb into the top four.
Back in round nine Wandella put in a superb effort to finish within seven points of the Lions in their den.
Key players for the Bombers include Archer Lancaster, Adam Ward, Tim Robinson, Mitch Collins, John Cooper and Darcy Ramage.
Hay won last Saturday’s clash with Ultima by 22 points.
A formidable Hay attack is led by Jack Headon and Dylan Collis.
The Lions charge is brilliantly led by Fergus and Jack Cattanach, Hugh Crighton, Dean Aylett and co-coach James Moran.
Hay also has Jason Aylett as co-coach.
At Ultima it will be the Kangaroos against the Macorna Tigers.
The Mitch Seton-Stewart and Kyle Symons-coached Ultima will be keen to bounce back from its fourth defeat of the season.
Key players for the Kangaroos include rover Corey Grey, Lachlan Burns, Josh Dwyer and Jack Delmenico in attack, Ryan Devereux and Matt Taverna.
Been a tough run for Macorna which claimed its first win of the season against Murrabit in the 12th round.
Best for the Tigers at Moulamein last Saturday included Connor Burge, Jackson Fry, Luke Gray and John Officer.
Massive test for Macorna defenders Cooper Carmichael, Travis Mercadante, Tori Ferguson in this match.
A team coached by Paul Longstaff and Shaun Haffenden has Conner Burge as ruck-rover, Matt Angel as rover, and Jake Foster in the centre.
