NEWBRIDGE’S hot form kept rolling in Saturday’s sixth round in Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley FNL senior footy.
The Newbridge line-up outran Bears Lagoon-Serpentine at Deepcore Drilling Oval in Newbridge’s Riverside Park.
The Maroons led 30-13 at quarter-time, but the Bears fought back to win the second, 18-12.
After the long break it was the Jayden Cordy-coached Newbridge which controlled a lot of the play.
The Maroons scored seven goals and kept BLS to a tally of two goals in the final hour.
At the final siren Newbridge led 91-46.
Jackson Eadon and Zebb Murrell led Newbridge’s attack on three goals each as Brodie Carr and Jedd Zimmer slotted two.
Leading goalkickers for the Bears were Andy Gladman and Farren Priest on three.
Midfielder Zebb Murrell was best for Newbridge along with key defender Jon Coe, Dylan Lloyd, Declan Campbell, Blake Wells and Will Copland.
Tyler Miles, Nathan Twigg, Ross Turner, Jaxon Addlem, Charlie Gadsden and Andy Gladman were best for the Jake Wilkinson-coached Bears.
A 14-goal haul by Jhye Baddeley-Kelly highlighted Pyramid Hill’s 113-point win against Mitiamo at Pyramid Hill’s Mitchell Park.
The Bulldogs were up 26-14 at the first break and then slammed on seven goals in the second.
By half-time the Jarrod Fitzpatrick-coached Pyramid Hill led 74-21.
Quarter three was to be one of Mitiamo’s best of the season as the Superoos matched the Bulldogs’ feat with five goals.
By the final siren Pyramid Hill led 172-59.
Baddeley-Kelly kicked 14 goals as Mitch Dingwall slotted three and Zac Alford, Isaac Brill and Harrison Goodes added two each.
Mitiamo’s attack was led by Seth Wright on four goals.
Best for Pyramid Hill were Jhye Baddeley-Kelly, Isaac Brill, Ben Knight, James Sala, Xavier Emmerson and Jarrod Fitzpatrick.
Jayden Matthews, Ryan Clark, Bryce Laird, Scott and Daniel Baldwin, and Anthony Huismann were best for the Luke Lougoon-coached Mitiamo.
It was the Tigers against the Panthers as Macorna hosted Marong.
The James Flaherty-coached Marong charged to a 22-point lead by quarter-time.
Macorna won the second term, 8-7, but from there it was the Panthers who had the answers as they scored 11 goals and kept the Tigers to a tally of five goals in the second half.
Cooper Hale kicked six goals as Brad Matthews booted three and Noah McCaig added two in a 115-64 victory for the reigning premier.
Macorna’s attack was led by Seb Erharter on three and Will Canham and Broden Wishart with two.
Best for Marong were Cooper Hale, Lachlan Lee, Jai Gretgrix, James Toomey, Matt Willox and Kepler Thomson.
Sam Whinfield, Matt Colak, Josh Whittle, Cooper Lacy, Xavier Wishart and Tom Ebbage were best for the Fergus Payne-coached Macorna.
There were big wins for Bridgewater and Inglewood in their home matches.
Bridgewater marked a 138-51 win against Maiden Gully YCW Eagles.
The Inglewood Blues beat Calivil United by 98 points at Inglewood’s Centre State Scaffolding Oval.

In the netball action………..MITIAMO dominated the rematch of the ’25 A-grade netball grand finalists on Pyramid Hill’s court in Saturday’s sixth round in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley FNL season.
The Superoos jumped away to a 69-51 victory at Pyramid Hill’s Mitchell Park.
An 18-goal win by the Jen Wilson-coached Mitiamo sent a warning to all rivals the Superoos will be hard to stop in their pursuit of premiership glory.
The Chelsea Emmerson, Amber Dingwall and Darci Tierney-coached Pyramid Hill is now sixth on the ladder.
Inglewood marked a 56-42 win on its court at Centre State Scaffolding Oval against Calivil United.
The Dani O’Toole-coached Inglewood jumped back to the fifth rung.
It was always a danger game for the Blues against the Annie Blow and Alex Ingram-coached Calivil United.
Newbridge doubled Bears Lagoon-Serpentine’s score in their match at Deepcore Drilling Oval in Newbridge’s Riverside Park.
The Hayley Martiniello-coached Newbridge tamed the Bears in a 62-31 result.

Bridgewater powered past the 70-goal mark on its court against the Maiden Gully YCW Eagles.

A tough run for the Christie Griffiths-coached Eagles does not become easier as Maiden Gully YCW faces Inglewood at Marist College Oval next Saturday.
Macorna was defeated by 15 goals in its clash with Marong.
The showdown between the Tigers and Panthers at Macorna Recreation Reserve ended in a 48-33 win for Marong.
The Brooke Allison-coached Macorna is chasing its first victory A-grade victory in the Loddon Valley.
A fourth victory has the Bridget Willox and Bianca Garton-coached Marong in fourth place, but just five per cent adrift of the third-placed Inglewood in the fight to hold a double chance at finals time.
