HAY was too strong for Macorna as the Lions met the Tigers in Saturday’s 15th round of senior footy in the Golden Rivers FNL season.
The Lions led 29-7 at quarter-time and 43-14 by the main break.
A closely-fought third term went Hay’s way, 19-14.
The Lions scored 4.2 to 2.0 in the last to complete an 88-40 victory.
Hay’s attack was led by Declan Watson, four; Dom Booth, Joel Crocker and Jensen Hargreaves on two.
Josh Walters kicked three goals for the Tigers.
Best for Hay were Brad Pocock, Jack Cattanach, Daniel Stewart, Tim Zambon, Dom Booth and Cooper Scott.
Alex Ingleton, Fergus Bear, Lachlan Ritchie, Grady Smith, Ethan Stone and Hunter Anset were best for the yellow and black.
Moulamein won every quarter on its way to a 97-54 win at home against Wandella.
The Swans scored 5.4 to 2.1 in the first term and 3.1 to 2.4 in the second.
A four-goal lead at half-time for Moulamein was 31 points at a quarter to go.
The Swans added 4.4 to 2.4 in the last.
Moulamein’s attack was led by Amos Farrell, four; Lachie Martin and Andy Silva, two.
Adam Ward kicked three goals for the Bombers.
Best for Moulamein were Amos Farrell, James White, Rodney Reeves, Lachie Martin, Mason Bailey and Eddy Schifferle.
Adam Ward, Russell Rich, Tim Robinson, Austin Crellin, Jack Radcliffe and Darren Rushton were Wandella’s best.
Ultima dominated on Murrabit’s turf.
The Kangaroos scored 4.5 to a point in the first term and added 6.3 to 1.1 in the second.
Bailey Codling went on to kick four goals and Ryan Devereux added three as Ultima won 19.10 (124) to 4.5 (29).
Other multiple goalkickers for the Roos were Caillum Brady, Jake Foster, Corey Grey and Sean O’Reilly on two.
Murrabit star Damian Cupido reached the 50-goal mark for the season, but there were limited chances for the former Brisbane Lion and Essendon forward in this contest.
Best for Ultima were Jake Foster, Martyn Cooper, Corey Grey, Darcy Farrell, Bailey Codling and Tyler Makepeace.
Jono Aujard, Nathan O’Toole, Morgan Randall, Ashton Wood, Tobie Cameron and Michael Grant worked hard for the Blues.

In next Saturday’s round 16 action, Ultima is at home to play Hay from 2.25pm.
Murrabit hosts Moulamein in the clash of the Blues and Swans.
Wandella takes on Macorna in the Bombers’ hangar at Wandella Recreation Reserve.
