CVFL Under-18s Preliminary Final Review | East Loddon Rams charge into grand final

EAST Loddon Rams have charged into a grand final clash with Marong in the CVFL under-18 boys competition.

The Rams won an exciting preliminary final showdown with Inglewood at Calivil on Saturday.

Both teams were inaccurate at goal in the first half.

The Rams scored 2.6 across the opening two quarters, but held a four-point buffer at the break as the Blues had scored 1.8.

By three quarter-time Inglewood was in front after it added 2.2 to 1.2 in the third term.

East Loddon lifted its intensity and run in what would be the final quarter for it or Inglewood in the ’23 season.

The Rams slammed on 4.3 to 2.2 to clinch a 53-42 victory.

East Loddon’s attack was led by Mitchell Hancock and Mason Hocking on two goals.

Rams’ team-mates Jaxon Addlem, Jye and Tyler Rasmussen chipped in with a goal each.

Inglewood’s goalkickers were Kyle McClellan, two; Gabe Nevins, Tyler Murphy and Ryder Smith.

Best for East Loddon Rams were Tom Harcourt, Tyler Rasmussen, Jaxon Addlem, Josh Diss, Cade Tuohey and Noah Ramskill.

A list of Inglewood’s best players was not supplied.

East Loddon will now tackle the unbeaten Marong in next Saturday’s grand final at Inglewood’s Dissy Machinery Oval from 10.40am.
