Ladder-leading Blues outplay Hay
THE ladder-leading Murrabit outplayed Hay to win Saturday’s round six match in the Golden Rivers FNL A-grade netball competition.
A closely-fought contest between the Blues and Lions ended in a 62-54 win for Murrabit on its court.
Ultima took the points in a 43-36 result at home against the Moulamein Swans.
The Wandella Bombers worked hard, but Macorna was too strong in a 48-37 victory in the Bombers’ hangar at Wandella Recreation Reserve.
Standings in the Golden Rivers FNL A-grade netball competition:
Murrabit 127 per cent, 20 points; Ultima 105, 16; Hay 98, 16; Macorna 114, 12; Moulamein 104, 8; Wandella 61, 0.
In next Saturday’s round seven action, Macorna hosts Murrabit in the clash between fourth and first.
Moulamein will be on its court to play Hay.
Ultima and Wandella meet on the Kangaroos’ court at Ultima Recreation Reserve.
