AFL Victoria Community Football Return To Play Protocols

AFL Victoria has released the Community Football Return to Play Protocols following the recent Victorian Government announcements regarding the lifting of some COVID-19 restrictions.  The Return to Play Checklist may assist clubs prepare for the next stage.

From last Monday, 22 June:

  • People under the age of 18 were able to resume full contact training and competition
  • Adults 18 years and over could participate in non-contact training in groups of up to 20

From mid-July – subject to the advice of Victoria’s Chief Health Officer and the continued management of the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), adults can resume full-contact training from 13 July and full-contact competition from 20 July.

Participants should not return to football if, in the last 14 days, they have been unwell or have had close contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19.  We encourage everyone to maintain physical distancing and keep up good personal health and hygiene practices.
