AFL Central Victoria has given keen netballers from Loddon Valley FNL and Heathcote District FNL the chance to play their beloved game.
Devastatingly, the Covid-19 pandemic put an end to much of the 2020 sporting season, including both the Loddon Valley Football Netball League and Heathcote District Football Netball League.
The KL Gold Bendigo Bank Thursday night hybrid netball competition involving both leagues began last week, featuring four 13&Under teams, eight 15&Under teams and nine 17&Under teams.
With over 200 netballers participating in games at different venues and varying timeslots, and with protocols required to be followed, great netball was displayed with some evenly contested matches.
The Bendigo Bank Junior Football League also began competition on the weekend, creating an Under 18 section allowing teams from the Loddon Valley and Heathcote District Leagues to participate. The inclusion of these Leagues is excellent for the Junior competition and under 18 players. The additional teams have introduced fresh rivalry into the competition in a section not seen before in the BJFL.
Round 2 of the KL Gold Bendigo Bank Junior netball competitions takes place Thursday 23rd July with games scheduled for 5pm and 7pm at Malone Park Marong and Strathdale Courts.
