ELMORE will up the pressure as it chases a third victory in a row in the A-grade netball clash at Huntly in Saturday’s eighth round in Agnico Eagle Fosterville Gold Mine Heathcote DFNL action.
The Bloods make their way to Huntly’s Strauch Reserve to take on the Hawks from 2.30pm.
After a nil-four start, Elmore has struck back to win its past two games at Heathcote by two goals, and then at home against Leitchville Gunbower by 27 goals.
The Adam Boldiston-coached Bloods are now seventh on the ladder and start this round locked on eight premiership points with North Bendigo and Heathcote.
Huge test for the Bloods in taking the points from the Hawks on their court.
The Harlowe Huntly Hawks have a win-loss tally of two-three and also drew with Leitchville Gunbower in Gunbower.
Huntly is jointly coached by Kym Bell and Ash Sherlock.
Round eight begins with the Lockington Bamawm United and Colbinabbin clash from 1.30pm at Lockington’s Nichol Trading Oval.
The Stacy Bacon-coached LBU Cats are back on court after the bye.
In round six LBU played well in a 51-61 loss on Huntly’s court.
Massive test for LBU, especially in defence against a Colbinabbin team which has racked up scores of 71, 57, 62, 68, 87 and 93 goals.
The Jen McIntyre-coached Grasshoppers marked a 91-20 win against Huntly at Colbinabbin’s M.J. Morgan Oval last round.
Another big match will be at Gunbower where Leitchville Gunbower takes on North Bendigo from 2.30pm.
It’s eighth against fifth as the Bombers and Bulldogs take to the court.
The Katie Pollock-coached Leitchville Gunbower will eye a chance to jump above the Bulldogs on the ladder.
Both teams are on the rebound from defeat.
The LG Bombers were outplayed at Elmore last Saturday as North Bendigo went down to Heathcote by 10 goals.
The Kiralee Kinder-coached North Bendigo will be determined to hit back and strengthen their grip on a place in the top five.
After a stunning win on North Bendigo’s court, Heathcote returns to its court at Pigeon Park in Barrack Reserve to face White Hills.
The showdown of the Saints and Demons starts at 3pm.

The Saints played well incredibly well in a 45-35 victory at North Bendigo as White Hills was beaten by Mount Pleasant in last Saturday’s play.
The Elley Lawton-coached White Hills is third in the premiership race and will be fighting to hold its buffer in the fight for a double chance at finals time.

Crucial match-up for LBU will be at full-back where Cooper Mitchell takes on Brandyn Grenfell.

A Heathcote team coached by Andrew Saladino, non-playing, and Liam Jacques, playing, did a lot right across the opening three quarters at Bendigo Club Oval in North Bendigo last Saturday.
Jacques will not be on-field this round as he took a one-match suspension after an early guilty plea to striking.
