SOUTH Bendigo White scored a nine-point win against White Hills in the Bendigo Junior Football League’s under-12 girls match on Friday night.
The Bloods and Demons met in the season’s fourth round on O’Keefe Oval at the Mercy Junortoun Sports Precinct.
Audrey James kicked both of South Bendigo’s goals in a 15-6 victory.
Indi House was on target for White Hills.
Best for South Bendigo White were Audrey James, Isla Warren, Charlotte Nanscawen, Sadie Hardingham and Matilda O’Sullivan.
The Demons’ best were Billie Lothian, Bridget Fehring, Peyton Richo, Laylah Talbot, Jordyn Waddington and Ebony Morley.
It was a nine-point margin at the end of the Golden Square and Huntly match at Gourmet Pantry Oval in Golden Square’s Wade Street.
Golden Square led 20-6 at half-time, but Huntly hit back to win the third quarter, 6-1.
Both teams scored two goals in the last term as the Bulldogs clinched a 33-24 victory.
Golden Square’s attack was led by Paige Finch on two goals as Lola Allen, Macie Crocker and Emily Dowdell added one each.
Goalkickers for the Hawks were Bailey Matthews, two; Ruby Mayer and Leila Pellegrino.
Best for Golden Square were Summer Novak, Bella Arthur, Mia Hargreaves, Dottie Pell, Paige Finch and Mia Stapleton.
Bailey Matthews, Leila Pellegrino, Frankie Connors, Mila Murchie, Ruby Mayer and Ivy Smith played well for the Hawks.
South Bendigo Red took charge in the second half to mark a 44-10 win against Eaglehawk Hawks on Quinn Oval at Mercy Junortoun Sports Precinct.
The Hawks were up 8-7 at half-time.
The Bloods scored three goals in the third quarter and kept the Borough to a tally of two behinds.
Another three goals as it kept the Hawks scoreless in the final term completed a fine win by the Reds.
Bloods’ captain Ella Frankum kicked two goals as Ruby Baker, Molly Hill, Remi Morrice and Bowie Thurgood were also on target.
Eaglehawk captain Lara Hendy slotted a goal.
Best for South Bendigo Red were Darcy Ketterer-Smith, Ruby Wilson, Charlotte Morrissey, Bowie Thurgood, Ella Frankum and Evie Dean.
Best for Eaglehawk Hawks were Meg Cruttenden, Lola Fitt, Laura Anderson, Torah Lewien and Lara Hendy.
Rochester Tigers charged to a 46-6 victory against Eaglehawk Eagles at Mercy Junortoun Sports Precinct.
At half-time it was Rochester in front, 7-6.
The Tigers won the third quarter, 19-nil, and added another three goals in the final term.
Frankie Hay capped a great match with three goals as Abbie Griffiths, Zoe Mangan and Ella Mundie kicked one each.
Willow Neivant goaled for the Eagles.
Best for Rochester were Frankie Hay, Ella Forde, Charlotte Wolfe, Annemarie Smith, Ella Mundie and Sophie Godden.
Eaglehawk Eagles’ best were Amaya O’Connell, Addilyn Westaway, Willow Neivandt, Jaidah-Rhaine Spiteri and Lainey Davidson.
On Sunday, Strathfieldsaye marked a 24-15 win against St Francis Green at Enterprise Oval in Strathfieldsaye’s Tannery Lane.
The Storm line-up led 15-14 at half-time before both teams added a point in the third quarter.
Strathfieldsaye added 1.2 and kept St Francis Green scoreless in the final term.
Scarlett Booker, Adele McKinley and Charlotte Palmer goaled for Strathfieldsaye.
St Francis Green’s goals were kicked by Lotti Childs and Aaliyah O’Meara.
Best for Strathfieldsaye were Charlotte Palmer, Leni McKern, Macy Macumber, Hayley Jensen and Scarlett Booker.
St Francis Green’s best were Pippa Fishley, Tilly Stewart, Ariah Villani, Holly Hayes, Leticia Bulota and Aaliyah O’Meara.
St Therese’s had the bye.
