Bombers or Blues to end unbeaten run

IT WILL be Wandella or Murrabit which breaks its unbeaten run in Saturday’s sixth round in Radio 3SH Central Murray FNL senior footy.

The Bombers and Blues will play at Wandella Recreation Reserve from 2.30pm.

Key match-ups include Kaine O’Connell in the centre for Wandella against Bryce Morison, Darcy Ramage to take on Ben Gillingham in the ruck, and Joel Osbrough in defence opposed to Sam Copland.

In last Saturday’s play to complete the fifth round, Wandella was held to just 28 points at Ultima.

The Justin Robinson-coached Bombers will look to Laing Waddingham, Seth Rowe and Adam McKenzie to capitalise on scoring chances.

A Murrabit team coached by Rick Ladson and Jack Shannahan worked hard in a 62-113 loss at home to the Hay Lions.

Players to watch for the Blues include Ryan Smyth, James Russo, Cruz Jolliffe and Adam Thomson.

Huge plus for the Kangas is the hard-running and skilful Ricky Monti in for his first match of the season.

The Storm will look to Matt Taverna, Sol Kelly and Lincoln Frost to lead the defence.

Targets in Ultima’s attack include Ben Kennedy, Kade Benfield and Mitch Seton-Stewart.

Huge test for both clubs who are 11th and 6th on the ladder, but separated by just four points.

The Robbie McComb and Nayef Hamad-coached Tooleybuc Manangatang was beaten at Kerang by 16 points two weeks ago.

A Saints’ defence led by Nick Ryan, Jesse Gosman and Josh Domaille is up against Cameron Arnold, Ryleigh Wilkinson and Nathan O’Toole.
