JUST two votes separated Kangaroo Flat and Sandhurst in the club-by-club voting for the Betty Thompson Medal awarded to fairest and best in the Bendigo Bank Bendigo Football Netball League’s A-grade netball competition.
The Roos and Dragons dominated most of the home-and-away series and will meet in this Saturday’s grand final on the court at Queen Elizabeth Oval.
Kangaroo Flat’s tally of 92 in the medal count was led by runner-up Chelsea Sartori, 26 votes; and Ashley Ryan on 15.
Best for Sandhurst were Meg Williams, 24; Ruby Turner, 16; and Rebecca Smith, 15.
It was Gisborne’s mid-court star Maddy Stewart who netted her second Betty Thompson Medal victory on a tally of 29 votes.
