Eagles a goal shy of an incredible century

MALLEE Eagles fell a goal short of an incredible in Saturday’s 18th round of A-grade netball in the Central Murray Football Netball League ladder.

Second on the ladder in the MixxFM-backed competition, Mallee was in hot form against Koondrook on Barham on the Lalbert court.

The Eagles won 99-33 as Kellie Walker scored 83 goals and Emelia Shannahan added 16.

Balranald scored a 52-27 win on Tyntynder’s court.

Jess Parry and Ella Mirtschin both scored 27 goals for the Kangaroos.

 

Tyntynder’s attack was led by Sarah Hawley, 13; and Tess Denham, 10.

Elli-Jane Brougham was best for Balranald as Nichola Miliano played well for Tyntynder.

Swan Hill led 32-20 at half-time on its way to an 80-36 win at Kerang’s Riverside Park.

Ingrid Condely scored 42 goals as Casey Frame added 38 for the Swans.

 

Kerang’s attack was led by Courtney Wright on 22.

Best players were Kerang’s Courtney Wright, and Swan Hill’s Ingrid Condely.

Woorinen Tigers beat Nyah Nyah West United by eight goals.

Emily Siely was the Tigers’ best as Matika Mitchell played well for NNWU.

Lake Boga led 25-9 at half-time on the way to a 54-27 win against Tooleybuc Manangatang.

Sarah Hepburn scored 47 goals for the Magpies as Katie Hepburn added seven.

Lake Boga’s best was Jemma Meehan, while best on court honours for Tooleybuc Manangatang went to Amy Standen.

 

In A-reserve, Mallee Eagles beat Koondrook Barham by 44 goals.

The Eagles soared to a 73-29 result as Alana Bookham led the attack on 38 goals.

Goalscorers for Koondrook Barham were Rianna Matuch, 16; and Mandy Fulton, 13.

Woorinen defeated Nyah Nyah West United, 61-30 on the Tigers’ court.

The Tigers’ attack was led by Annie Steicke, 29; Melissa Rushton, 23; and Skye Kelly, 9.

Goals for NNWU were scored by Gemma Flanagan, 19; and Shanai Kelly, 11.

Woorinen’s best was Jacinta Sicilano as Gemma Flanagan starred for NNWU.

 

Tooleybuc Manangatang scored a 52-34 win on Lake Boga’s court.

The Kangaroos from Balranald won 47-39 at Tyntynder.

Madison Jess scored 26 goals for Balranald as Chloe Taylor added 16 and Macy Lloyd, five.

Tyntynder’s attack was led by Jessica Weaver, 25; and Bridget Dedini, 14.

Madison Jess was Balranald’s best as Taylah Woodward led the way for Tyntynder.
