THERE were some high-scoring matches across the 12th round of A-grade netball in the Central Murray FNL on Saturday.
Just two goals separated Cohuna and Koondrook Barham on the Kangas’ court at Cohuna.
Koondrook Barham led 16-15 at quarter-time and 31-26 by the main break.
The River Raiders edged out to a six-goal buffer at a quarter to play.
In the final term it was Cohuna which dominated to score 16 goals as it held the KB line-up to just eight.
At the final whistle, Cohuna led 54-52.
The Kangas’ attack was led by Carmen Dye, 36, and Kobie McIvor, 18.
Emily Fasham scored 30 goals for Koondrook Barham as Tatum Boyd added 22.
One of the closest results was at Tyntynder where the Bulldogs took on Woorinen Tigers.
Tyntynder led 30-26 at half-time, but the Tigers roared back to win the third quarter, 19-9.
Woorinen went on to claim a 58-52 victory as Tayla Bennett scored 48 goals and Emily Siely added 10.
Tyntynder’s attack was led by Kimberley Calvert, 32, and Kelsey Rowe, 20.
Nyah Nyah West United took on Lake Boga at Nyah.
The Demons worked hard, but the ladder-leading Magpies had all the answers on their way to a 58-37 victory.
Lake Boga goalers Sarah and Katie Hepburn poured in tallies of 45 and 13.
Mallee Eagles beat Kerang by 15 goals at Lalbert.
The Eagles led 27-17 at half-time and 41-27 at at a quarter to go.
At the final whistle Mallee led 52-37.
The Eagles’ attack was led by Kellie Walker, 29, and Megan Thorneycroft, 23.
Goalers for Kerang were Courtney Robertson, 28; Chloe Adams, 6; and Olivia Jones, 3.
Tooleybuc Manangatang could not stop Swan Hill’s charge to a big win.
Final score in the Saints and Swans match was 45-76.
Zoe Morris reached the 50-goal mark for Swan Hill as Ingrid Condely chipped in with 26.
The Saints’ leading goaler was Shaniah Nunn on 23.
Balranald had the bye.
