Colbinabbin outpoints Demons on White Hills court

COLBINABBIN was too strong for White Hills in Saturday’s 12th round of A-grade netball in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote District Football Netball League’s season.

The league’s greatest netball rivalry rolled on at Tint-A-Car Oval in Scott Street, White Hills.

Beaten just once this season, Colbinabbin won a high-scoring match 56-43.

In round five, the Grasshoppers beat the Demons by 20 goals at M.J. Morgan Reserve in Colbinabbin.

Mount Pleasant marked the trek north to Degroot Roof Painting Gunbower Reserve by scoring a 46-28 win against Leitchville Gunbower.

On a three-game winning streak, the Blues have now climbed to the third rung on the ladder as White Hills slipped to fourth.

North Bendigo defeated Heathcote, 39-27 at Hibo Hotel Oval in Atkins Street, North Bendigo.

When North Bendigo and Heathcote last met in round five, North Bendigo fought on for a 51-48 win at Pigeon Park in Heathcote’s Barrack Reserve.

The Bulldogs hold fifth place, a win and almost three per cent clear of the Huntly Hawks.

North Bendigo faces a huge test on Colbo’s court next round.

The Huntly Hawks were on the end of a 30-goal defeat from Elmore.

Unbeaten and on top of the ladder, Elmore scored 71 goals in another strong display by the premiership favourite.

The Bloods have passed the 60-goal mark in all but two matches so far.

Lockington Bamawm United had the bye.

In next Saturday’s 13th round, Mount Pleasant hosts White Hills at Toolleen.

Colbinabbin and North Bendigo clash at M.J. Morgan Reserve in Colbinabbin.

Elmore takes on Leitchville Gunbower at Elmore Recreation Reserve.

Lockington Bamawm United faces Huntly at Lockington’s Nichol Trading Oval.
